Mousepaw dashed through the undergrowth, bushes raking her face and snow landing in her fur as she ran across the soft, moist grass of an long moor land. Leaves that have blown onto the land and snow crunched under her dark colored paws. Great StarClan where am I now? She thought as she stopped at the top at one of the tall moor land hills, her eyes started scanning the territory, slowly moving from left to right. Well, I'm not on BreezeClan territory, that's for sure. Mousepaw thought. But then again, I could be in some sort of unexplored area of BreezeClan territory. The she laid down, tucking her paws under her. If someone comes upon me, maybe than I will know where I am. She curled her tail around herself. A soft breeze ruffled her fur and the grass, it blew the snow into her back making her feel a little colder every heartbeat.

She shivered as the snow hit her pelt, the song of the wind grew louder and louder, as every snowflake hit her fur. The moor land hills were now covered in a large layer of snow, white as Whitepaw's fur. They started to grow tall as the trees in ShadeClan territory, as if they were touching the camp of StarClan. Whispers started to began all around Mousepaw, they were to soft to understand. The she scramble to her paws, her fur bristled as they whispers kept coming. They seemed to be getting louder, but still all you could hear was just words that didn't make sense, almost like Twoleg talk. The whispers got to a point where they sounded more like yowling than whispers anymore.

Mousepaw let out a small whimper, the noise hurt her ears extremely. She laid down and used her paws to pin her ears to her head, the loud whispers continued, but they got faster and faster. She let out a small cry, "What in StarClan is happening to me?" she begged. Then everything slowly grew quiet, and a loud whisper ringed in her ear, "A storm is coming that will bury the snow, the only place that is safe is the branch that is covered with the ivy."

Her eyes flashed open, a bright, thick, light was shining outside. She stretched out her legs, she barely felt the moss of the other nest beside her. Was that just a dream? Or was StarClan trying to tell me something? She thought. Her ears pricked to the noise outside of the apprentices' den, she sat down and licked the moss off her pelt. Then the thought hit her in the back of her head. Whitepaw's warrior ceremony! How could I have forgotten! She thought, she quickly groomed her fur, then she dashed out of the den. She tripped over the lump of snow at her feet, she totally forgot that it snowed last night. She picked herself up from the snow, small clumps of the ice clung to her whiskers. She padded over to the Wetrock, Rushingstar was just sitting down on top and Rainpelt was padding over to her spot under the Wetrock.

Good, the meeting just started. Mousepaw thought, "Hey Mousepaw! Over here!" called a voice, the dark colored she saw Branchpaw signaling with his tail for her to come over. She trotted over to her friend, the snow sinking halfway up her leg. "Has Whitepaw told you any of his warrior name ideas?" she whispered as she sat down next to the tabby tom. "No, but it seems that he was too excited to tell me." Branchpaw replied, he flicked his green eyes towards a overly excited Whitepaw sitting beside his mentor. "Today we are gather here to grant an apprentice his warrior name." Rushingstar began, his head turned to Snowflower. "Snowflower, is Whitepaw ready to become a warrior?"

"Yes Rushingstar." she meowed, she looked over to Whitepaw, his eyes sparkled with excitement. The dusty brown leader beckoned with his tail for the apprentice to take a step forward, as soon as he did Whitepaw's energy just seemed to vanish. Mousepaw leaned over to Branchpaw, "Do you think he's nervous?" she asked in a whisper like tone. A ginger tail tip tapped her mouth, she looked to see that the ginger tail belonged to Rowanflame. The she turned back to face the leader and the white apprentice.

"I, Rushingstar, leader of RippleClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand your noble code and I command to you as a warrior in his turn. Whitepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect the Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Mousepaw's gaze went to Whitepaw, his white fur could be seen pricked but due to the snow on his pelt it was hard to tell if he was nervous or just cold. "I do" the white tom said firmly, "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Whitepaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Whiteivy. StarClan honors your tenaciousness and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RippleClan." Rushingstar finished, he leaped down to the closest rock to the ground and rested his head on Whiteivy's shoulder while the new warrior licked Rushingstar's shoulder respectfully.

"Whiteivy! Whiteivy! Whiteivy!" the Clan cheered, Mousepaw turned to Branchpaw, her best friend was curling his tail and his green eyes sparkled with glee. Mousepaw kept cheering, but happiness left her as she thought about Whiteivy. We won't be denmates anymore. She thought, she shook her head and turned back the Wetrock. She saw that Whiteivy has padded over to sit next to Goldenstep and Nettleclaw, and the warriors were looking a her. She looked at Rushingstar, he was staring at her too. She looked at the rest of the crowd, everyone was staring at her. She suddenly realized that she was still cheering out Whiteivy's name, she slowly closed her mouth and looked at her black paws, she bit her tongue to keep her from cheering. She heard Stormwhisker behind her letting out a soft mrrow of laughter, she didn't bother to look nor face him.

"Clan dismissed." Rushingstar finished. The cats started to go back to their normal duties, Mousepaw got up and bounced over to Whiteivy, she felt the snow tug at her heels as she made her way over to the new warrior. She saw Rainpelt talking with the white warrior, than he nodded and the deputy padded off towards Feathermist and Gingersplash. "Hey Whiteivy! How's the new warrior doing?" she said in a sort of squeak, almost like a kit. "I'm doing fine, thanks Mousepaw." Whiteivy said, "Aren't you supposed to be doing your vigil?" Branchpaw voice got closer and closer to them, Mousepaw turned to see her friend slowly padding towards them, her ears pricked to Stormwhisker who was padding behind the apprentice.

"Rainpelt said I will take my vigil when moonrise comes." the new warrior replied, his tail kicking up some flakes of snow. Mousepaw noticed that his pelt looked to be camouflaged with the snow, the snow was barely visible on his pelt. "But, doesn't that mean you can't speak?" She asked, "He can speak right now, but he can't when moonrise comes." Stormwhisker said, he looked at the warrior. "I'll show you your nest, come on." the dark warrior swiped his tail along the top of the snow, he padded towards the warriors' den with Whiteivy trailing behind. Mousepaw bounced up and down in her spot, her tail curled in happiness. She looked over to Branchpaw, who stretched out his legs and back, his mouth parted in a yawn. He almost looked like a large rabbit when his fur pricked, she let out a playful yowl and leaped onto his back, pinning him down on his belly. "What in StarClan?!?" he said and looked over his shoulder, Mousepaw let out another playful yowl. "You are the fresh-kill that I caught in our territory. Come with me!"

She rolled off the tom and scrambled to her paws, then she gently bit his hind leg. Branchpaw pretended to go limp as Mousepaw started pulling him towards the fresh-kill pile. They got close to the fresh-kill pile, "What are you two youngsters doing?" said a voice. Mousepaw looked over to her right, there stood the elders' den, a few mouse-lengths away from the fresh-kill pile, and there laying at the entrance of the den was Skypelt. Mousepaw slowly dropped Branchpaw's leg while the tom scrambled to his paws, "Er.... nothing." they both said. The elder let out a mrrow of laughter while she shook her head, "Still kits at heart." she said.
