After 5 hours, Brittany and I were finally done with getting everything inside. All we had to wait for was Patch. He was Brittany's brother and had promised to help with my furniture. I was shocked when he agreed because we usually never got along. Unlike Brittany, he was a smart ass; to put it lightly. Him and I just didn't work out too well.

We were now sitting on the decent sized bean bag I had bought days ago.

"You know, I might just have to move in with you. This place is gorgeous!" Brittany exclaimed, beside me. Her arms were folded as she looked around. I giggled at her, shaking my head.

The living room area, which we were in now, was spacious and bigger than any other room. My bedroom was small; smaller than the kitchen. The kitchen was big enough for two people to cook and move around in. Which was fine with me considering I was the only one living here.

Knock. Knock.

Brittany and I both jumped at the sudden loud sound. Then we looked at each other and got up. Heading towards the front door, I looked out the peephole. Patch was here.

"Who is it?" Brittany asked behind me, standing on her tiptoes.

Backing up, I opened the door and smiled a fake smile. "Oh! Patch! It's so nice to see you! How have you been, buddy?" My fake tone was clearly noticeable.

Patch stood in front of me and leaned in, mockingly. "Ha, ha. Very funny, Williams." Suddenly, he turned around and revealed the person standing behind him.

When my eyes landed on the guy standing behind Patch, I couldn't help but stare at him. This guy; he was breathtakingly gorgeous. There was no denying it. I took in his presence as he stood there, hands in his pockets. He had short dark brown curls and deep brown eyes. A great muscled body, too. I could see his muscles through his thin white t-shirt. Damn. He was taller than me. A smirk appeared quite quickly on his face and I averted my gaze, knowing he probably just caught me checking him out. By this point, my cheeks were very red.

"Hayley, this is Taylor. He's helping me with your stuff." Patch looked back at me, grinning.

And just like me, I stood there in complete udder silence looking everywhere but at Taylor. How the heck was I supposed to respond being this close to a literal male model?

"Hayley's very thankful you've come to help out Taylor." Brittany said quickly, on my behalf.

For some reason, I was lost for words. I hadn't seen a guy this good looking since, well never. He was intimidating. Intimidatingly gorgeous. Just him standing there, made me want to dissolve.

Get ahold of yourself, Hayles!

I cleared my throat and gathered enough courage to smile and make eye contact with Taylor. "Yeah, I'm happy you guys could make it." To my surprise, my voice didn't quiver. But my face still felt hot.

Taylor smiled, nodding. Patch rolled his eyes and motioned for Taylor to follow him down the hallway and to the parking lot. While Patch began walking away, back towards his truck with his back to us, Taylor took one last glance at me. The smirk was still there. It was as if he knew he intimidated me and made me nervous. But of course, a hot guy would know if they were hot. He's probably got tons of girls crawling at his feet.

Soon enough, he turned around and followed Patch to the truck. I watched him as he did so. Good gracious, even his walk was sexy!

"Stop gawking at him!" Brittany whispered at me while swatting at my shoulder. We stood in the doorway, watching them grab ahold of my coffee
table.

I looked to my right at Bri. "That's impossible!"

She lifted her eyebrows looking at me then at Taylor, who was walking back to the truck also. "True. But, don't make it so obvious." She laughed.

--

By the time Patch and Taylor got started with putting all of my furniture in the right places, Brittany and I were knocked out on the bean bag. As soon as I was woke up to the sound of Patch's voice, I immediately regretted it. Way to be so unflattering, Hayles. Patch was giving Taylor directions as they adjusted the living room couch. Mentally groaning, I slowly got up; careful not to wake Bri up. Thankfully she was a very heavy sleeper.

I rubbed my eyes and headed to the left, into the kitchen. The refrigerator was already set up but I knew there was no use in checking for something to eat. My hand reached for the cabinet handles and opened. Nothing. With my stomach growling, I walked back into the living room and was careful not to run into Patch or Taylor.

When I reached the door, which was already opened, I grabbed my keys and quietly informed them I'd be back soon. As I walked down the hallway, I couldn't help but think of Taylor and how hot he was.

--

It was pretty late & dark by the time I arrived back to my apartment. Patch's truck was already gone and I couldn't help but be disappointed. I'd probably never see him again. Brittany answered the door after my second knock, with a tired look.

"I've been asleep like all day." She said while yawning and walking back towards the living room.

I shut the door, locked it, and followed behind her. We both sat on the couch. Not being able to help it, I mentioned Taylor to her.

"Do you know anything about him?"

"Taylor York; he's stunning. Gorgeous. And very popular." She then winked at me.

Before I could ask more, she got up and disappeared into the hallway. I waited about a minute, sitting on the couch admiring my new space. She finally popped around the corner. She was carrying her computer.

"Why'd you get-" She cut me off.

"Like I said, he's popular." She repeated, opening her computer. "So what better way to find out things about him than searching him?"

My jaw dropped. "You genius!"

We both giggled. I moved closer to her on the couch, watching her log into Facebook. As she went to the search bar, I asked "Wait, do you know his last name?"

"Everyone does."

With a swift move of her fingers, she searched the name: Taylor York.

I bit my lip. This was all so new to me. Of course, it was something Brittany did. She was an expert at finding out things about people. I, on the other hand, wasn't the type of person that snooped on people. It felt wrong but I wanted to know about him. And see more of him.

His profile loaded pretty quickly. Brittany immediately clicked on his profile picture. The picture popped up.
