Taylor's profile picture was flawless. He was standing in front of some fishing rods. I couldn't quite make out the background but I assumed he was by the ocean.
He was standing there, with a serious face. Looking dead at the camera. He was so hot and handsome. It was overwhelming. I got butterflies suddenly. He wasn't even here but it was like he was in my presence.
I looked at his eyes. I couldn't help but to think he was looking right at me. Biting my lip, I looked at Brittany. Her eyes were on the screen.
"Here's another one," Bri said, clicking the arrow.
Turning my attention to the screen again, my mouth opened a bit. "Fuck, he's hot."
Brittany laughed beside me. "And single." She commented.
I whipped my head quickly, giving her a shocked look. "No way. There's no damn way he's single."
She nodded, laughing. I looked back at the picture. He was sitting in a car. Again, with a serious face. His hair was a bit ruffled; again the hottest thing ever. There were black shades covering his eyes and I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. I liked his eyes. He had a tiny black earring on his ear. And a nose ring. He looked even hotter.
Brittany logged out suddenly and began typing my login. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Uh, Bri, what're you doing?"
She ignored me, smiling. My Facebook loaded. I watched her type in Taylor's name again. His profile popped up and I saw the mouse move closer to the friend request button.
This wasn't gonna roll with me.
"Oh heck no," I quickly moved Bri's hand and took the computer. "No you aren't."
Bri was laughing hard at this point. When she finally stopped she looked at me. "This is your chance to talk to him and get to know him!"
I gave her wide eyeballs. "There's no way he'll even want to talk to a girl like me."
Bri rolled her eyes. "You're a woman. A WOMAN. Come on, Hayles." She pouted her lips.
I shook my head, "Even if I did request him, he'd probably decline because of the way I acted earlier."
She sighed. "Fine, Hayles. Don't request him. You'll probably never see him again, anyways." She got up and gestured towards her computer. I quickly logged out of Facebook and gave her the computer.
She started walking towards the front door. "Text me when you get home, Bri." I said, watching her grab her jacket.
As she opened the door, she looked at me smiling. "I will," She paused then added, "Don't forget, if you wanna get to know him, request him tonight. Don't wait till it's too late." And with that she left.

By the time 2 am rolled around, I was still thinking of Taylor. No matter how many YouTube videos I tried distracting myself with, he still stayed in the dead center of my thoughts.
Should I request him?
I furrowed my eyebrows in frustration & placed both of my hands over my face. He was so hot and I was so...me. I was short, had red hair, and tiny curves. I was also very horrible and awkward in any and all social situations. That was enough to steer any guy away. I mean, it had steered Josh away, apparently.
Eminem's voice carried throughout my room. I had a remix playing; The Hills, to be exact. The beat was amazing and Eminem's lyrics were flawless. The music distracted me for a few minutes more. That was until I heard a notification alert go off.
