Chapter 1.

Its almost 2:00 am and i get a text from harry. I quizzically slide my phone open and it's from him.

"she's gone Grace...forever."

My heart stops and I immediately run outside to my car. I jerk open the door and slam the gas pedal. I squint my eyes trying to concentrate on the road, but the rain makes it difficult to focus. I text Harry, asking where he is and he sends me directions. I freeze...that's where the large lake is. My car starts to drift off the road as tears form in my eyes. My body jerks as I start to realise where the road is again. My car comes rolling up the bridge until I spot the police and the ambulance. My hands tremble as I open the door. I shakily walk over to one of the police men and ask him about what's happened.

"We found Natalie's car parked by the edge of the bridge, with half of a suicidal note in the wind shield."

"Wh...what? Wait, where's harry?"

The officer points to the bottom of the bridge.

"He was heading down there last time I saw him."

"Thank you" I whisper, trying to hold back the tears.

I walk down looking for a head of curls. Finally, my eyes spot Harry sitting on a bench facing the opposite direction. I weakly make my way over there.

"Harry..."

He turns his head and we lock eyes. His appearance makes me cringe. Harry's hair is sticking up everywhere, his eyes are red and puffy, and his shirt is soaked in tears. The sight puts my stomach in knots.

Harry shakily stands up,

"Grace, I never got to say goodbye or..."

he hangs his head and I can see the tears fall from his eyes. I walk over to him

"or what?"

He barely lifts his head up

"tell her I love her,"

I can hear him start to cry again.

"Harry, I'm so sorry."

I hug him tightly and press my head into his chest. Natalie is dead, and so is Harry
