Grace's POV*

My car drives up to my aunt's house in Wolverhampton and I sit there thinking about what just happened. I can't believe I just left Harry outside in the rain. I have only been gone for about a day and I already miss him like crazy. I take a deep breath and walk up to the front door. Aunt Kristen greets me with a hug,

"How was the train ride over here? Do you like the rental car I booked for you? It's the best I could do for last minute!"

I put on a fake smile

"Not to long, thanks for letting me come over here for a while. The car's nice, thank you."

Her eyes look worried, I can tell she knows what's up.

"Well, why don't you come in for a cup of tea. You look exhausted."

She was right, I haven't slept for an entire week. I start remembering the sleepless nights, crying over Harry. My eyes start to swell

"listen, Grace...you can tell me anything."

I turn my head, avoiding her gaze. Harry said those exact words to me and I trusted him. I told him everything. Now I know the only person I can trust is myself.

"I'm ok Kristen, just tired. It's been a long day."

She gives me another light squeeze

"Why don't you go lay down on the couch."

I graciously accept her offer and curl up under a wool blanket.

"Im going to go heat the kettle up, just relax!"

Kristen prances off to the kitchen and starts rambling on about her new job. I pay attention at first, but my mind starts fading farther and farther away from reality. My body may be in Wolverhampton, but my heart is still wherever Harry is. I shake my head, I dont love Harry. I feel my heart start rapidly beating. Deep breath Grace. My hands run up the side of my head

"NO!"

I shout at the top of my lungs. I hear a splash of water and a loud clatter.

"OUCH!" I immediately cover my mouth once I realise what happened.

"Kristen?!"

I yank the blanket off and run to the kitchen. I freeze, finding Kristen on the floor clasping her arm.

"I'm ok Grace, don't worry."

I kneel down next to her,

"Let me see your arm."

She looks away, showing me her burns. I rotate her arm in shock

"Oh my god!"

She winces in pain as I lightly touch the bad spots.

"How bad is it?"

I bite my lip

"uhh, not too bad."

She snaps her head forward

"Don't lie to me Grace,"

I glance up at her

"It's really bad, what exactly happened?"

She points to the pot,

"Well, the scalding water splashed onto my arm and then I lost balance. I don't know why, but I tried to catch it and the pot fell where the water hit."

I help her up,

"C'mon, lets get you to a hospital."

We get into the rental car and Kristen starts crying out in pain. I think the sadness and negativity just follows me EVERYWHERE I go.
