Seeing her face turn red and the way she is biting her lower lip to keep the tears in, kills me.
"Harry?" She quivers.
I come back to reality, "What?"
She takes a deep breathe, "I asked why you were here and you just stood there."
"Sorry, I just haven't seen you in so long."
She snaps her head back at me.
"That isn't my fault," She says through gritted teeth.
"You are the one that left me.."
She's on her feet now.
"I had no other choice!" She half yells.
I want nothing more than to close the space between us and connect my lips with hers.
"You did have a choice! You could've stayed, I waited outside for the longest time because I thought you needed space. I thought once you'd clear your head you would come back to me!"
She limps over to me and stands right below my nose. Wait, why is she limping?
"You have thrown me to the side for so many years Harry! I do not want to have a one sided relationship with you." She huffs.
At least she's thinking about having a relationship with me, that's a good thing right?
"I don't throw you to the side."
"Yes, you do Harry! When you were dating Natalie I was NOTHING to you!"
I'm sick of her bringing Natalie up all the time.
"Well you had to be 'something' to me because you are the reason she's dead!"
Her hands go straight to her face and she collapses to the floor. Oh crap, I'm trying to mend our relationship and all I'm doing is making it worse! I rush to her side and grasp her hands.
She yanks them away, "Don't you dare help me up."
Her eye lids close and she shakily stands up.
"I'm so sorry Grace. I didn't mean-"
"Stop Harry. I'm done with all of this."
She hobbles toward the old door and I know I have blown my last chance. I guess this is it. No! I can't give up yet.
"Grace!"
She turns around and stares into my eyes. "What Harry."
"I-I, I hope you feel better soon."
She sighs and limps out of the barn. Now I have blown it. I was going to say that I love her, but I froze up.
God, what's wrong with me?
*Grace's POV*
My eyes are so puffy from crying that they won't allow anymore tears. I have been dreaming of this moment sense the day we parted ways, but that's not how I expected it to go. I thought he was going to beg for my forgiveness. Instead, he blamed me for everything. I can't believe him! I thought he was going to tell me that he loves me still and I would say that I love him too. Then we'd hug and make up, but this isn't a movie. It's reality, love is not supposed to be simple. My ankle is hurting really bad, I think it may be broken. I step onto the road and try to find my way back to Dani's place. This big black truck rolls past me and a very attractive guy stares at me the entire time. He's not checking me out because his face is twisted in confusion. I walk a little further and the same car drives by again. This time, he watches me through the side mirror. Ok, I'm creeped out. I turn on my heels and start walking in the opposite direction. The car swerves around, but instead of looking me up and down, he stops and jumps out. I try to walk faster, but my ankle won't allow it. I glance back to find the stranger gaining on me. I lift my ankle and hop as quickly as I can. My arms are flailing around and I can't get away from him! A hand grabs onto my shoulder and he abruptly turns me to face him.
"Harry!" I scream then cover my mouth.
Why did I just yell for him.
The brunette cocks his head to the side, clearly confused. I try to push his arm away, but he has a good grip on me.
"Let go of me!"
I kick his shin and he tenses.
"Harry said you were feisty," he chuckles.
"What are you talking about? How do you know Harry? Who are you?"
He holds up his free hand, signalling me to stop talking and I obey.
"So you're feisty and you ask a lot of questions, glad we're getting to know each other." He playfully grins.
"You don't know me and I don't know you, creep."
I finally wiggle from his strong grasp and try to limp away.
His arms wrap around my waist and he lifts me over his shoulder.
"Who do you think you are?!" I bang at his back, not playfully.
"It must be very inconvenient that you twisted your ankle Grace."
"Actually, I think it's broken...wait, how do you know my name?"
He sets me down in the backseat of his truck and climbs into the driver's seat.
I cross my arms, "This is illegal."
He looks at me through the rearview mirror and laughs. "It's not because I'm your friend, no one's going to hurt you."
"How do I know you're my friend? And you never told me how you knew my name."
"So we're back to the questions again?"
"Hahaha, not funny. Seriously, how do you know my name."
I watch his reflection through the window, "I'm a psychic...Grace."
I kick the bottom of his seat and he bursts into laughter.
"Ok, Harry called me a month or so ago, asking if I could help him look for you."
My heart swells with love and pain.
"Alright, now you have to tell me what your name is."
He shakes his head, "That's confidential."
"Then you are a stranger and this is practically kidnapping," I smirk.
"I was only kidding, my name's Louis." He smiles.
"You are such a little kid," I laugh.
He pulls in front of Dani's house and my body freezes. I'm not ready to face her and Liam. I'm also not ready for Harry and Louis to find out about my relationship with Liam, at least Harry isn't here...yet.
