Sorry for not posting that much! I've been extremely busy, but I promise I will be more consistent! ily:)
*Grace's POV*
The sound of my glass shattering against the wooden floor causes Danielle to pull away from Liam's soft lips. She jerks her head towards me and brings her hand over her mouth, stifling a shriek that should have escaped. Liam's eyes meet mine, then looks away in shame. Dani rushes towards me, but I run out of the house before she can reach me. I hear the door slam into the wall as Dani calls my name over and over again. Each screech fades into the background as I keep running.
Why am I always running?
The darkness seems to be closing in on me and I realise I have no where to go. I look up at the moon and see the light shinning down on something in the distance. I start pumping my legs faster and sprint into the woods. My shoulder harshly brushes the side of a tree, making me loose my balance and tripping over a stump. I spastically jump up and continue my run to shelter. I cover my face with my hands, trying to block the random branches sticking out in my path. My ankle hurts worse with every step, resulting in a slower pace. I squint my eyes and look through the leaves, just a little bit longer. I start alternating my steps with hops as I desperately try to reach the shabby barn. The grass is up to my knees now.
So close!
I push my hair back and take off again at full speed. As soon as I open the creaky door, my ankle gives out and I fall to the floor yelling out in pain. I grasp my entire leg and close my eyes. The pain will go away, just breathe. There's no one left to help me up, I have to look out for myself. Am I the only one who suffers like this? I just want all of the pain to go away. Breathe Grace.
*Harry's POV*
The car turns onto a gravel road. You can see the sun beginning to rise through the trees, it's quite beautiful. A small house appears in the distance and it matches the description Kristen gave us. Louis and I have been EVERYWHERE looking for Grace. We have never stopped searching. I lost hope at times, but Louis always helped me come back from my depressing state. When we finally stumbled upon Grace's aunt, my prayers were answered and my body was refilled with life.
I point to the old house, "Louis I think this is it!"
"Someone's feeling better," he jokes.
"I thought I would never see her pretty face ever again. Until we found Kristen and she showed us where to go!"
"What are you going to say to her?"
I stop fumbling with the radio and look up at Louis.
"No clue. I guess I'll wing it," I shrug.
The car forcefully stops and my head is thrown forward, then back into the seat.
"What the-"
"We have been trapped in this car for weeks and you haven't once thought about how it will go?"
I lift my hands in surrender, "I've thought about it before. I'm pretty sure she's going to forgive me either way."
Louis glares at me, "You can't be serious."
"Oh c'mon Lou!"
Louis unlocks the car, "Get out of the car."
"What?"
He nods to the door, "You heard me."
I reach for the handle and look back at him before exiting the car.
"I'm not doing this to be mean, please just think about what you are going to say. We both need some alone time. I'll be driving around here, ok? Good luck mate."
He rolls the window back up and I start walking towards the woods, by myself.
I just want to see her. The words will probably come to me then! I don't want to plan everything I say because it won't be form the heart. There we go, I'm just going to wait till I confront her and my heart will do all of the work. I keep walking through the woods, but something's up....there are a ton of branches broken off of trees and, and, FOOTSTEPS. I kneel down and study the steps, Grace. I carefully follow the trail until I spot a barn up ahead. The grass is getting taller with each step, but the barn is so close now!
Once I reach the door, I peak through the crack and there she is, peacefully sleeping with her hair sprawled out all over the floor. Wow, I have missed waking up by her side. I always loved the way her eyes smiled when she was around me. I slowly open the door, trying not to wake her. I take small steps toward her and she turns over in her sleep.
"Grace?" I practically whisper.
I kneel down next to her and stroke her brown locks.
"Grace?" I say a little louder.
Her eyes shoot open and backs away from me.
"H-Harry?" She breathes.
"Uhh, ya. I found you in here and, umm." Dang, I should have planned out what I would say. My heart is not doing a very good job.
"What are you doing here?"
I can tell she's trying not to cry. I remember when I used to make her laugh and smile, but now...what have I done?
