*This is about being there for someone when they are never there for you.
I'm standing on the edge of the dock,
Watching the wild waves,
Boldly break across the rocks on the smooth shore.
My heart starts to beat like a drum
As my skin starts to tremble tremendously
Like a lush leaf.
The fear starts to wash all over my body
Like a terrific tidal wave.
But as I see your battered body
Laying limp in the ravaged water,
I know I must jump.
So I use my body like a warm blanket
And save you from the searing storm.
The fear vanishes when I see
Your sapphire eyes quickly open
And your sweet smile
Appear on your face.
I kiss your soft cheek
As I pull you up to your feet.
I help you across the soggy sand,
But I trip over a sharp stick,
As a wild wave
Grabs me with its fierce fingers
And drags me into the
Scorched sea.
I wave my hands from side to side
As the darkness starts to
Silently suffocate me.
I wait for you to rescue me
But your body stands motionless
Like a significant statue.
And all I see before I am
Succumbed by the somber shade
Is your searing smile
Which slices my heart,
Even before it stops.
