"Sorry, excuse me for a moment." I said, pulling my vibrating phone out of my pocket and quickly answering it without even looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?"

"Niall..."

I immediately regretted that decision. My blood ran cold in my veins as I heard that voice. The voice I'd been trying to forget for months. The voice I'd cried over, time and time again. The voice I desperately missed, but never wanted to hear again.

"Harry?" was all I could choke out.

"Niall, I- well, I just-" he sounded like he was starting to cry, I just couldn't deal with this right now, I had a meeting to be at, and I certainly couldn't have this conversation in front of my boss.

"I'm sorry, Harry but I'm not interested in buying a new fridge." I faced the wall and bit my lip. This wasn't kind, this would ruin things.

"What- what are you talking about?" he sounded confused, having not caught on yet.

"Sorry, but you headed me. I already have a fridge and it works perfectly well."

"Niall..." he whispered, I could hear his tears now.

"I would appreciate if you did not contact this number again. Thank you, goodbye." and hung up.

I walked back over to Mr Payne. "Sorry about that, just a stupid marketing call!" I announced too cheerfully, though he didn't seem to notice.

"Annoying aren't they?" I nodded, beginning to follow him down the corridor.
