TEN; NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES
"Hey, Mom. It's me again." Cassadee sighed as she left another message on her mother's voicemail. "You must've let your phone die or something. I'm not in Forks, but everything's okay, and I'll explain later. I love you." She said before ending the call and threw the cell phone on the bed before walking into the living room of the hotel room.
"You're moping." Edward pointed out as Cassadee sat across from him and Alice in the chair.
"So are you." Cassadee pointed out with an eye roll. "Although I'm sure it's not for the same reason."
"You're both moping because you're away from your mates." Alice said before she swayed in her seat for a second before staring off into space, seeing a vision. "The tracker, he just changed course.
Edward watched his adoptive sister, confusion written all over his face as he read her mind. "It's a room full of mirrors."
"But the visions aren't always certain, right? That's what Jasper told me."
"She sees the course people are on, if they change their mind then the vision changes." Edward informed her as he gave Alice a piece of paper and pencil to sketch on. Alice began drawing her vision in hyper speed as Cassadee watched and realized where it was.
"So the course the tracker is on now is going to take him to the ballet studio?" Cassadee asked with a raised brow.
Alice stopped drawing and looked at the human. "You've been here?"
Cassadee shrugged, "I don't know. Bella and I took ballet classes at a studio that had an arch just like that."
"Was your school here in Phoenix?" Edward asked.
Cassadee nodded before her phone vibrated, Jasper's name showing up on the caller I.D. "Are you okay, Jasper?" She asked as she answered and walked back into the bedroom.
"We lost the tracker. The woman's still in the area. Rosalie and Esme are going back to Forks to protect your family. I'm coming to get you. Then you and I are going somewhere alone. The others will keep hunting."
"But you guys have already done so much maybe it's time to just-"
"Cassadee," Jasper said, cutting his girlfriend off. "I'll do whatever it takes to make you safe again. I love you, Cass."
Cassadee sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She hated the fact that this family was doing so much just to keep her alive but knew that there was no use in fighting it. "I love you too, Jasper." She replied before they both hung up.
"Alice went to check us out." Edward told Cassadee as she sat on the bed. "We aren't going to let anything happen to you, Cassie. I've never seen Jasper so happy, and we wouldn't be able to look him in the eye if anything did happen. It's worth it." He grabbed Cassadee's bag and turned toward the door. "We'll meet you in the lobby."
Not a minute after Edward left, Cassadee's phone rang again, showing that her mother was calling her from their house in Arizona. "Hey, Mom, what are you doing home?" Cassadee asked when she answered the phone.
"Cassie? Cassie? Cassie, where are you?" Renee asked frantically through the phone.
Cassadee furrowed her brows but didn't think much of it, Renee was always the one for freaking out and jumping to the worst possible conclusion. "Relax, Mom. Everything's fine."
"Cassie? Cassie?" Renee asked again, completely ignoring her daughter's statement.
"I'll explain everything later, just calm down." Cassadee promised before she heard rustling on the other end of the line. "Mom, are you there?"
