April 3rd
I wake up with a text from Levi.
*Boyfriend💍❤️: Babe, I made the baseball team and I happen to know that you made the softball team.*
*Awesome😘.*This was going to be so much fun.
Grandpa Brooks was so proud that I was going to do softball. My dad did baseball in high school and college.
Grandpas Brooks offered to drive me to my boot camp."Why not." I say.
Throughout the entire ride, Grandpa Brooks was giving me this extremely mind emptying speech about when playing softball the eye must be kept on the prize.
"You have to always be focused, buttercup." Grandpa Brooks said. "Eye on the bases when you are running, mitts when you are pitching and ball when you are batting."
"Okay Grampers." I say.
