so braids are very complicated and a bunch of people asked how to do them, so I made a mini-tutorial. I'm not that great at them but you know.
If you can't see it:
• start with a weird connected curvy ladder
• connect them
• clean up them lines
• two layers (digital) below that, start filling it in
• once you've filled it, go one layer up and multiply it. I suggest using lavender or a really pale pink depending on how dark you want the shading. Do some shading depending on where the light source is
• take a color a bit paler than your base color and do some thick highlight bands across each section
• using an almost-white, do little highlights, varying in shape and size, I use thick lines and circles.
• bask in awe at your epic drawing.
