AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I think I'm just a really, awesome person for updating so quickly. And I didn't even receive any comments on the previous chapter!
I've decided that when chapter ideas come to mind that I've got to write it down quick so I can finish this story up by the end of November so I could be qualified for the second round of the Watty Awards.
ANYWAY. This chapter gets a bit..weird I guess you could say..at the end. BUT DON'T WORRY. I'll explain in the END NOTES, I promise. :D
So. Here's chapter nine. ENJOY.
BY THE WAY, I WANTED TO REMIND READERS TO VOTE/COMMENT/FAN IF YOU THINK THIS STORY DESERVES IT. THE WATTY AWARDS ARE TOUGH, MAN, AND I REALLY WANNA MAKE AN IMPRESSION.

Chapter Nine: Say It Right
Surprisingly, Aden wasn’t as freaked out as I thought he would be.
“We’ve got to go back to my house,” Aden said, his eyes hardening into a fierce blue. “Kaylee is just coming home from school. I mean my mom should be there by now, but they could still get to Kaylee.” His voice was frantic.
“I’ll head over to the house,” Gage told us. “You two need to keep going until those Executioners lose your trail.”
I could tell Aden didn’t like the idea of Gage being around his family without him there, but he didn’t argue.
“Where am I supposed to go?” I wondered allowed. As of right now I was just driving around the city aimlessly, but we could only do that for so long.
Gage let out a sigh into the phone. “I’m not sure. Try the interstate, you might be able to lose them in the traffic.”
Checking my mirrors once more, I crossed into the next lane, and pulled out onto the interstate. “Done.”
“Good, now try and keep me updated with what’s going on,” Gage instructed. “Okay?”
Aden closed the phone before I could answer Gage, then slipped it into his pocket. “I don’t like the thought of Gage being at my house alone with my sister and mom,” Aden admitted.
The Executioners were still following quite closely, so I picked up the speed.
“There’s nothing to worry about, Aden,” I murmured. “Your family is in good hands, I promise.”
“Gage is a vampire though,” he felt the need to point out. “And he made a pretty huge mistake with trusting Brooke..."
Letting out a defensive growl, I muttered, “Don’t give Gage shit about that. Besides, I’m a vamp too. You trust me, don’t you?”
I saw his eyes widen in response. “Of course I do.”
“And I trust Gage, so you’re just going to have to deal with it. I won’t lead these fuckers to your house, I just refuse to do it. Whether or not your family is there.”
“I can understand that, but I just don’t know if I can--” Aden practically choked on his words as we were slammed into from behind by the SUV. “Fuck,” he cursed, whirling around in his seat to face the other vehicle, “they’re screwing up my car! I’ll kill ‘em!”
“Aden, sit back and put your seatbelt on,” I commanded, pressing my foot down even harder on the gas pedal. We picked up speed pretty quick, but the vamps were still close on our tail. Even when I tried weaving in and out of the different lanes, around cars of course, they still followed.
