Raven woke to the sound of her alarm. Remembering school. she gave a small sigh and got out of bed. She brushed her hair and put on her teal shirt and blue skinny jeans. She wiped off the small mud marks on her jacket and slipped it on. She packed her lunch and said goodbye to her dad and headed off to the school. She passed a few of her class members who walked a bit quicker in order to avoid any more growls or eye flashes. They didn't seem to realise it was her that had made the storms last night. Walking into class she felt uneasy but she didn't know why. She figured it was just her subconscious picking up the stares and ignored it. As the teacher started calling out the register a student that didn't look familiar walked in the doorway. He mumbled an apology for being late and explained that he had just joined today. He was wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, so Raven couldn't see his face but he looked as if he was looking for something, or someone. His name was the last on the register, Hero Crafter. His name sounded familiar to Raven for some reason but she couldn't remember why. She smirked as his name being called out received giggles and whispers of their own. There was a flash, only half a mili-second long, and all the giggling kids stopped at once, but the teacher hadn't even noticed anything happened. Raven started at Hero. Had he done that? Did he have powers too? Who was he? The questions were whirring in her mind and she didn't notice the bell calling for first period. She tried to read Hero's mind to get some answers but her powers wouldn't work on him for some reason. She was starting to worry. She was sure he wasn't a hacker as the school does checks every day and everyone who failed the hack test got kicked from the game and suspended for a month. She only knew one player that had powers strong enough to resist hers, Notch's son. She told herself she was being silly, that she was just tired and her powers weren't to strong. But she adjusted her contacts to make sure they were in place and kept out of Hero's way. Deep down she knew she was right, but she would talk to her dad to make sure. The bell rang for second period, then lunch. She saw Hero at the table across from hers. He again seemed to be looking for someone. She kept her head down in case her worries were right. She looked up for a brief second and saw him looking straight at her. He got up and Raven's heart started beating like crazy but he walked out of the dining hall and into the corridors. She breathed out. 'If I'm right, that was too close', she thought, she needed to keep out of his way as much as possible.h
