*years ago when Waru was a lil' kid*
*yawn* "I'm exhausted" . Waru was walking through the park aimlessly, her black dress sticking to her back in the heat. She looked around the park, sighing in relief when she spotted a bench. She scurried over to it and collapsed onto the wooden surface. "Not very comfy... But I can rest here I guess *yawn* being this cute AND terrifying is exhausting" she thought. She was almost asleep until the sound of a small boy's voice made her eyes swerve to her right.
"But MUM... I don't wanna go the long way..."
Waru couldn't hear the mother's reply. Her dark eyes gleamed at the chance of scaring another victim.
The mother and child were now only a few feet away from Waru and she decided it was time to scare the kid. When they were passing the bench, Waru leapt up and grinned, showing a large set of sharp teeth."RAWWWR"
The Mum looked starled and tried to lead away her son but he just blinked at the girl infront of him.
"Hey, are you a hobo?" he piped up. The mother looked horrified.
"AIDEN" she said.
"Ah, so thats his name" Waru thought. She threw her hands infront of him but he refused to be scared. His mum had given up trying to move him and sat down on the bench. Waru, realising he wasnt going to leave her alone, turned her dark, black eyes to purple. Aiden smiled at her. "You have pretty eyes"
Waru didn't know how to react to this and just stared at him.
"You look hungry" he started up again "Here, have this." He handed her a bar of untouched chocolate, though the wrapper was slightly fluffy from being in his jean pocket.
"...I-u-uh thank you?" She wasnt used to gifts from mortals. She looked at it weirdly and put it in her own pocket.
"Bye! I'll see you around" Aiden said as he got ready to leave. His Mum suddenly spoke up.
"You can stay at ours if you like for the night dearie, and we can see if your parents are around tomorrow"
"WHAT IS HAPPENING" Waru thought to herself, but her mind and mouth weren't cooperating.
"..Erm...o-ok...?"
Aiden was smiling from ear to ear and his mum was smiling at Waru as well.
"Ok, follow us"
Waru flew beside them, but low enough to look like she was just walking fast. Her and Aiden talked the whole way and Waru almost forgot that her original intention was to kill the both of them. They got about a block away from his house when Waru could feel herself being called home by her Father. Letting out a sigh, she waited until Aiden and his mum were distracted by each other and she ran behind one of the house sheds. She teleported home and never saw Aiden again.
That was, until today.
