Hero walked down to the kitchen, his hoodie pulled up over his head to avoid being lectured for not brushing his hair. He could sense his dad wasn't telling him something. Notch was looking over books and combat handbooks.
"Dad?, what's up with the combat?" Hero said looking over his shoulder.
"I thought you would've heard by now, considering you're outside 24/7" notch said looking up and grabbing another slice of bread from the table. Hero looked at him funny. "Heard about what..."
Notch sighed and walked over to the window.
"We're going to war against the Brines again..."
Hero groaned. He knew Raven would be at school on Monday and trying to keep this quiet would be a nightmare. Notch looked round again.
"You'll start combat training tomorrow. I've arranged some lessons with the best fighter in the village."
"But dad I can already fight pretty good!"
Notch sighed. "Yes, but that's against pigs and mostly kids younger than you with no power, we're talking about demons and a glitch here..."
Hero sulked and looked at the floor, his hair hiding his face. Notch handed him an iron sword. "This is only until you get your movements right, then I'll give you a diamond one, go and practice with some armour stands, see how much damage you can do"
"Alright!" Hero cried and ran outside.
Notch shook his head but smiled and went to arrange an army with the village.Raven and Waru were left sitting in the kitchen. Waru was eating the remaining stew on the table while Raven watched in awe as 2 whole bowls vanished in an instant. "What? A soul from one 2nd grade boy ain't gonna feed me for long" Waru giggled and continued going through her 3rd bowl.
"Come on Waru you're gonna eat through my whole soul supply!" Raven laughed and put the last 2 bowls in the fridge (AN: screw numbers idk how much they eat XD)
"What do you want to do today then?" Waru asked braiding her hair. Raven shrugged. "The forbidden forest is pretty cool, and there are some armour stands there that we can practise some sword combat on." Waru nodded her head in agreement and grabbed a sword, throwing one to Raven in turn who was still sipping on a smoothie and had to time it well to avoid spilling. "Come on then, who's teleporting who?" Before Raven could answer Wary had grabbed her hand and teleported them to the forest. Raven looked cautiously around for any mortals, as her new contacts weren't coming until Monday morning. The girls spent the morning and most of the afternoon hitting and fighting against the clay armour stands that had been left from those brave enough to go out that far alone. By the end of the training session Raven could practically explode one with one hit and Waru's targets were dust. Raven could sense her Dad's telepathy calling her home and she grabbed Waru's hand and teleported them both to the cave, where Waru went through the portal and went home for dinner. Raven grabbed a sandwich and went for a sleep.Just saying I haven't proof read this so please point out any mistakes, I was rushing to get this update out
