Ashley felt really guilty, he saw everyone over the next few days gradually learning names again but it was a uphill struggle, he really couldn't remember anything though he really wanted to. Especially with that Scarlett girl, he saw her alot, she was usually in with someone visiting or bringing something in to try and trigger memories like photo albums, videos, interviews and she even snuck their dogs in but nothing worked.

his feelings for her were true, he knew that from the moment he saw her but it was hard having to learn about someone again especially if you hardly knew yourself. From what he'd seen they looked happy before and now he felt as if he should hate himself for ruining that and making her go through all this sadness.

he saw it. She looked tired and really sad but she didn't look as if she was going to give up on him Which made him happy to think someone loved him enough to do that.

"and this is a magazine article on the tour we were on" Scarlett sighed letting him look at the images of himself and the band on stage As they sat on the hospital bed together "Anything?"

"no" Ashley shook his head slowly he looked up at her "I really want to but it's all blank"

she nodded and reached to the floor "ok, does this look familiar?" she asked showing him one of his basses then handed it to him, letting it rest on his knee

he ran his fingers over the strings then up and down the neck "it's familiar but nothing comes to mind" she handed it back to her.

she looked disappointed as if she thought him seeing and feeling the instrument he loved would bring something back. She wasn't done though.

she positioned the bass on her knee and started playing

she'd seen that look before in his eyes when he'd first seem her.
