Up from the darkness of the oceans, swimming towards the light above was the silhouette of a beautiful woman, long flowing red hair, pale almost glowing skin, slender yet was curvy with a lustrous bust yet where her legs would be was a sleek black tail with red markings and translucent fins. A mermaid. A beauty of the sea.

When she reached the surface she couldn’t help but stare in awe, it was the prettiest sight she’s ever seen. The bursts of colour in the sky against the full moon back drop as a gallon ship sailed into its moonlight – it looked as if it had come from one of the paintings that had sunk a few weeks ago.

“Scarlett what are you doing?” the crab called Jinxx asked her as he and the flounder Jake surfaced next to her “What the hell is that?” he exclaimed, following her eyes over to the ship.

“Like shes going to listen” Jake rolled his eyes at Jinxx’s futile attempt to get her to come back

She didn’t answer, just smiled at them before taking off towards the ship against Jinxx’s protests, in fact so was so caught up in this adventure that she didn’t even hear him and left them behind in her quest of curiosity.

Swimming closer she could hear the sound of men singing drunkenly but more importantly the sound of their music piercing through the night and echoing off into the distant. She just had to get closer to it; so using her upper body strength she pulled herself up the side of the ship just to get a closer look. Slyly she poked her head up, looking through the gap in the side, watching amused at the men – singing, dancing, enjoying all that life had to offer. A 2 strange hairy creature barked and jumped around the people, while they seemed to have no problem. Suddenly, it stopped and followed its nose over to where Scarlett was perched. She quickly hid, but when she turned back to look, she was licked on the face.

Hey Killer, Tokyo!" a voice called, and Scarlett looked over. That’s when she saw him. A fit yet slim man with long ebony black hair, tanned skin kissed by the sun; he was handsome and charming but had this boyish and kind look in his eyes which took her breath away. Scarlett looked at him, and felt strange. She smiled widely.

“Hey Scarlett! what are you looking at” A noisy seagull swooped down next to her

“CC shhhhh” She shushed the yapping seagull, grabbing his beak and pulling him out of sight

"Shut up, you’ll blow my cover!" Scarlett glared at him, CC nodded with a grin.

“Are we on a convert mission” CC went into stealth mode, hiding partially in her hair “One of up most importancy that relies on us-“ she silenced him again

“I’m watching the humans” she hushed in a low tone before turning back to the scene "I've seen a man like this," Scarlett sighed," he's so good looking." CC just raised an eyebrow.

“…they look weird” CC scoffed pointing at the shaggy looking dogs bouncing round the sailors

“No not that” she grabbed his head to make him look in the same direction as her. “him”

“pretty boy?” CC asked in surprise but was silenced by Scarlett again as the deck seemed to unexpectedly burst into a different life.
