Knock knock

The couple groaned hearing the knocks on the door; they had been napping on the couch together in each other's arms after a long day yesterday and yet they still had only gotten that mahogany cot from the baby store which was still in the box.

"Ashley go get it" Scarlett groaned half asleep and curling up even more into Ashley's chest as if she was trying to bury away from the noise.

"Angel" Ashley was about to protest when he was met by a glare reminding him that she was a) pregnany and b) could throw him through a wall "fine" he sighed knowing he wasn't gonna win so gently got up to see who was at the door as Tokyo and Killer jumped onto the sofa next to scarlett.

Ashley rubbed his eye and answered the door to a warm smile "Ashley" Scarlett's mother was here and looked to be quite happy.

"hi" Ashley smiled back "Scarlett your mom's here" letting her into the house and taking one of her bags for her.

Scarlett walked into the corridor with Tokyo and killer at her heels "mom" she smiled as her mother rushed to hug her daughter "this is a surprise" the two had been repairing their relationship since she reunited with her a year ago through skyping and messaging so they didn't lose touch again.

"I thought I better check in on you" her mother smiled letting go of her daughter, scarlett hadn't seen her mother smile like that in well...ever "and hows the little one?" her mother asked placing a hand on scarlett's bump

"Active" scarlett laughed "5 months old and he's kicking me like a punching bag"

Her mother nodded laughing remembering herself "You were exactly the same"

"I can believe that" Ashley snickered as he brought the last of the bags inside "What's with all the bags Ms Rose?" it had become like a tradition for everyone who'd left the di angelo family to rename themselves Rose after Scarlett which had so far been her brother, mother and her cousins Beth and Alex (Alex had moved awayto get work and Beth had joined him so she wouldn't be stuck with her mother by herself and she was proving to do better overall cause of it).

Ms Rose picked up a few bags and brought them into the living room "I brought you two a few presents to help with the baby" she laughed when Tokyo and killer where nipping at her feet thinking there was something for them "You're the two troublemakers"

Ashley and Scarlett followed her; when they came inside they saw she'd already unpacked some things.

"Oh" Scarlett ran over to a wicker mosses basket on the floor with a cream lining inside "It's so cute and it matches the cot"

"You said you were having some trouble getting stuff on tour" Her mother beamed producing a car seat for Ashley's car

"Thanks Ms Rose" Ashley grinned looking at the mosses basket crouching next to Scarlett

"You can call me mom as well Ashley" Ms Rose had to agree Ashley was good for her daughter

"Thanks...mom" Ashley tried it on his tongue with it being such a foreign word for him; Scarlett taking his hand and holding it firmly.
