Today was a chill day for me. No school and no work. I was sitting on my couch smoking some bomb ass dank watching Hit The Floor. Considering today was Father's Day, there was really nothing else to do.
After about an hour of Hit The Floor and almost dying of boredom, I decided to take a walk to the park. I was already dressed in a burgandy crew neck that read 'Real Nigga Section', a pair of black sweats, and Kai's Citrus 7's, so I threw my curly hair in a bun and grabbed my key before strutting out the door.
I fished through my pockets for my iPhone 4S and plugged in my headphones and began playing J.Cole's Crooked Smile from his Born Sinner album. J. Cole is hands down one of my all time favorite rappers. Everytime he opens his mouth, he spits pure fire. Not one word that left his lips wasn't the truth. He was unlike every other rapper out today with a catchy hook and a tight beat. He really had an amazing flow.
I reached a local park and was surprised to see it filled with little families and kids running wild. It almost brought tears to my eyes watching the little families enjoy each other today. I wish I could've had something like that growing up. It's amazing how things happen. I was all too wrapped up in my thoughts and feelings to notice Trey pushing Aubree on the swing set. I decided not to approach them and just watch from afar praying that I didn't get noticed.
The ringing of the ice cream truck caught every kid there's attention because practically the entire park swarmed over to the ice cream man's truck. I smiled and walked my fat ass over there, too. Shit, your never too old for the ice cream truck. I was being nice and letting all the little kids with their parents in front of me until I ended up at the end of the line.
A tap on my shoulder caused me to turn around as my eyes met with Trey's beautiful pupils.
"Hey Trey!" I beamed and threw myself on to him for a hug.
"Hey Beautiful. I thought it was you. What brings you down to the park?"
I shrugged "Today is a nice day, and I was bored and high, so I said why not."
"Daddy what's high?" Aubree asked
I covered my mouth and laughed. I swear Aubree is the cutest little thing. Sometimes I have no filter what-so-ever. I made a mental note to watch my mouth around her.
"See what you done started?" He teased.
"I'm really sorry Trey, I didn't mean-."
"You straight,"
He cleared his throat,"High baby girl, is when- it's...uh.. when you- Ms. Christian will explain it to you, sweetie."
My eyes got as wide as they could considering I just smoked before I came to this park.
"Uh... high is like... it means that I rode on an airplane today. You know how the airplanes get really high up in the sky?"
She nodded
"Well, I got up there today."
"Really?!"
"Yup," I lied.
"Daddy one day I wanna get high, too. Just like Ms. Christian."
Trey laughed his sweet laugh before responding to Aubree.
"No you don't, Aubree. You wanna be a good girl and listen to daddy forever. Okay?"
"Yes daddy," she nodded.
We all ordered our ice cream of choice and headed back to the play structure. Trey made Aubree finish her ice cream before returning to play. She obliged and set off to play while Trey and sparked simple conversation.
