I'm confused. I don't know how to explain what I feel any more. Jordan has something about him that always makes me come back, I guess you could say. The bond we have now is crazy. Like, he always finds a way for us to be back at one.
I'm past the stages of wanting Jordan. I almost feel like I .. I need him. Whenever I'm not with him, I miss him. We've become inseperable over time. We act like a damn married couple at times, but I'm cool with just being his friend. I've also become content with the girls he has. I could really care less at this point, because like I said, we're just friends.
Being with Jordan has made me realize all the things I've passed up on in life and all the missed opprotunities. So I've decided that I'm trying out for the Senior Volleyball team. Try-outs are usually held toward the end of the year for all sports because of the at risk kids in Compton. Basically, it just gives kids something to do during the summer.
"You excited for tonight?" I asked Jordan as we cuddled up on the couch.
"I'm excited to see how that ass is going to look in a dress."
I laughed, punching his shoulder. "You are so damn nasty all the time. You got better things to worry about."
"Yeah, like what we're going to name our kids. You think we should stick with the C theme or the J?"
"Kids? I ain't having no kids, boo boo. You got the game messed up."
He smacked his lips. "Don't front like you ain't trying to have my babies."
"I'm really not. I don't want kids. I'm only 18."
"I want a team." he intertwined our fingers.
I laughed . "Football or basketball?"
"Football. But we can't be raising no fat babies. Ain't no 300 pound kids about to be running around calling me daddy. That ass will be running laps around the block. Fuck that." he shook his head.
"You are a mess. I swear. My baby can be as big as it wants to be." I giggled.
"Shit, I ain't 'bout to be on Foodstamps and shit, supporting it's habits. It's carrot sticks and celery out this bitch."
"You need some serious help, kid. Let me get up tho, I have a nail appointment with Kai."
Today was Senior Prom '13. To say I was excited was an understatement. Kai did my hair as a trial of what it would look like tonight. We were on our way to our nail appointment, then it was right back to her house. Davion's mom, Jordan's mom and of course Kai's mom were supposed to be helping us get ready, but I think they were just overly excited and wanted to be doing something. I just really hope they don't start hounding me with questions about my parents tonight. I really just want to have fun and be a teenager for once in a lifetime. I want to let my hair down and be stress free for an hour or two.
We were stuck in the nail salon for two hours but we still made it out with time to spare before getting ready, so we stopped at Chipotlé and ate before returning to Kai's.
"Can somebody zip my dress, please?" I asked as I put in my earrings and shoes.
Jordan's mom came over and swiftly pulled the zipper up my back with tears in her eyes.
"Aw, why are you crying, Mama Carson?"
"My baby boy is growing up so fast. I feel like he was just born yesterday. And look at you two. You all look beautiful." she smiled as tears cascaded down her cheeks.
I wiped her tears with my thumb and pulled her in for a hug.
"It's okay, mama." I soothed her.
