Slowly I open my eyes, I'm greeted by a old and moldy motel ceiling. The room was dark and smelled as if something died in there. As I slowly sat up I turned to the clock. Two in the morning. "Great," I thought. As I lay back down and tried to go back to sleep my mind started to race. I couldn't stop thinking about, no matter how hard I tried, the events of earlier the other day. "I had a great life", I thought, "and I had everything planned out and now I have no idea what I'm doing. What about my family and friends they must be so worried, I mean I did just up and leave without saying anything....not even a goodbye," my eyes filled with tears at just the thought the thought of leaving my little sister. I can't think about it I'm doing this for them and I'll be back soon. I tried to clear my head as I went over everything that happened on that faithful afternoon.
*^*^*^*
I was driving down an empty road surrounded by wood area, in my mom's old black pick up truck blasting some P!ATD music and singing along not caring how bad I was. Suddenly, a man in a brown leather jacket ran into the road. In a panic, I swerved and ran off the road and almost hit a tree as the skidded to a car stop. It took only a moment until I was out of the car at the man's side who was on the ground in a effort to dodge my car. A million questions were racing though me head. "Are your ok ..I'm so so sorry," I said panicking. "I'm alright..I'm alright," he said in a rough yet soothing tone. As I help the blue eyed stranger to his feet I heard another voice yelling, "DEAN!" That's when I saw a taller guy wearing a flannel with short brown hair was running towards us from the woods. "Dean we gotta go...now", he said.
That's when he saw me,"Umm who is this Dean," he asked. He looked at me then back at the guy. "I almost got hit by her truck," he replied. "Ok not gonna ask. Look we gotta go, it already has our scent we gotta move," he said in a dangerous tone and with that they were gone. "Ok a little weird," I said to myself as I got back into my car. I started my car and soon I was back on the road and drove for a little longer, thinking over what had happened. Soon it was dark outside; the moon was full and high, the stars twinkled and shined it was so beautiful. Later I looked at my gas, it was almost empty and my stomach started to rumble. Luckily I came across and older looking truck stop. When I walked in to pay for my gas and to get some snacks I could sense something wrong. I gathered some different kinds of chips and some soda. As I walked up to the cashier my stomach dropped. His skin was white, like albino white, with deep black hair, and a creepy stare that could kill death. He didn't look natural.
At first I thought he was sick and that's why his skin was so pale...but this was different. As I paid for my things and he handed me my change I heard him whisper something I just couldn't make out what he said. That's when he grabbed my wrists and threw me across the counter making me hit the back shelf. Before I could catch my breath he had me pinned to the floor. My eyes were shut tight, I was frozen. That's when I heard his sinister voice say,"Aww come on princess open your eyes, I want to see the white in them when I drain you." "Drain me?" I cried. Thinking my life was over. I opened my eyes to see me face to face with a mouth full of fangs, a creature of nightmares. "That's better," he said with an evil grin.
His face was inches away from mine and I could feel his cold breath on my neck. That's when the front door opened. "Help, somebody please," I whimpered. The footsteps got faster and louder, I heard the sound of slicing flesh. The thing's grip loosened but when I opened my expecting a white eyed face, instead its head was chopped clean off! "What the hell?!" I screamed. Then I noticed the two guys standing over me. "Well hello again," said Dean with a smirk as he reached out his hand to help me up. "What was that?" I asked still shock. And this was the news that turned my whole reality upside down.
"Well monsters, spirits, and magic stuff like fairy tails, they're all real," Dean said. I started to laugh uncontrollably then I realized they weren't joking. "Wait... you two are serious?" I said as my laughter quickly silenced."You think we're joking," Dean said. "Anyways it's are job to hunt these things and save people. I'm Griffen by the way." Said the one in the flannel. "Well nice seeing you again, lets go Griffen," said Dean turning to leave. "Wait!" I called, "I wanna help you guys." Dean scoffed. "What did I do?" I retorted. "No, its too dangerous for a girl like you and you just found out that things like this are real...just no," he said sternly. "But-" he cut me off. "No you couldn't handle yourself out there," he said. "I know how much I can handle Dean," I said in a threatening tone. "I'm going with you and there's nothing you can do to stop me," I huffed. "Dean maybe she should stick with us, this vamp might not be the only one around here and if they find out what happened she'd be their new target," said Griffen to Dean. Dean rolled his eyes. "Great,I love babysitting," Dean said in an irritated tone. "It'll only be a few days Dean," said Griffen. "But," I argued, Dean cut me of again. "But nothing you have a normal life and a family you should keep it that way." "Fine," I said quietly.
So that's what happened so far. I guess I'll be back to my normal life, but maybe it won't be so bad. There is one thing I would never get used to, the smell of crappy motel rooms.
