Chapter 6

Evan POV

"Mom... what am I going to do? I loved him, even thou we just met. I don't want to be without him, but I don't want to leave either. I can never forgive dad for what he did," I said while I cried to my mom.

"Sweetie... I'll talk to Ben, maybe I can change his mind," she said while hugging me.

"Why would he do this, is it because I shut the door and me and Derek kissed," I asked mom.

"I wish I could give you an answer baby, stay here I will talk to him," she as she got up.

She kissed me on the forehead and walked out the door. At least someone still loves me, I thought to myself.

Alex POV

When I get ahold of Ben he is going to die, I thought to myself. When I got to Ben's office door I didn't even bother to knock, I just barged in.

"Hey babe, what's up," asked Ben with a smile on his face like nothing is wrong.

"Don't 'Hey babe' me. How could you do that to Evan, he loved Derek. Why would you do that to them Ben... ANSWER ME DAMN IT," by this point I was livid.

"Alex... I did it to protect him, that boy was rogue. He could just be using Evan..." I cut him off.

"Stop Ben... that gives you no right to do what you did, he thinks you hate him, and he wants to leave because he thinks you don't want him as your son," I didn't even wait for him to reply before I started talking again.

"And here's another thing, until you apologize to him and explain why you did it, you can sleep on the couch," I turned around and stormed out of the office and went for a run.

Evan POV

I was sitting in my room when I heard footsteps coming to my door, I got scared so I locked the door and hid under the bed.

Knock knock

"Evan can we talk," asked Ben from the other side of the door.

I didn't answer, I was to scared to.

"Evan, are you alright, I can hear your heart beating really fast," he said.

"Please... just go away," I said in a weak voice.

"Evan, let me in, I'm not going to hurt you," he said softly.

I slowly got up and unlocked the door then went back to sit on my bed.

Ben opened the door and came and sat next to me.

"Thank you, I was worried I was going to have to use this," he held up a key to the door.

"What do you want," I asked him.

"I came to apologize and explain why I did that," he said.

I didn't say anything, just waited for him to continue.

"Evan, Derek and Cassie were rogues and I was scared he would just use you, I didn't want you to get hurt," he said.

"Ben... let Derek have a chance to prove he isn't evil and come on, the most evil Cassie be is stealing a cookie from the cookie jar," I said to him.

"Fine, but if he screws up once, he's out, got it?"

"Thank you dad," I jumped in his lap and hugged him, he hugged back.

"Come on, let's go find your mother and tell her I apologized and explained so I don't have to sleep on the couch tonight," he said.

"Only if you carry me," I said with an evil smirk.

"Fine, hop on," he said as he turned his back to me.

I jumped on and he walked out the door and to the kitchen. As we walked in I yelled, "Woe my sparkly rainbow unicorn," and got down and smiled innocently at my dad.

Then he walked up to mom who was laughing hard and told her, so they made up and the day ended great. I can't wait to go find Derek tomorrow and tell him, I thought as I layed down to go to sleep.
