I felt a little hungry after writing in my journal, I went down to the cellar to grab a blood bag. I'm not like Stefan when it comes to blood. I can control my hunger without needing, as Damon would put it, "the bunny diet". Also drinking from only blood bags was the deal I made with Stefan and Zach when we decided to move back. With my hunger satisfied I decided to go to the grill.

I walked in and I see Bonnie with two other people with her. One man and one woman, both blonde. Bonnie saw me and waved me over. She scooted over so I could sit down. The perky looking blonde began talking.

"You must be Bela, it's nice to finally meet you, oh my god, you're so pretty. I'm Caroline by the way, this is Matt and of course you met Bonnie."

"Hey" Matt greeted.

"Hi"

Matt continued his conversation with Bonnie.

"Has she said anything about me?"

"Oh no, so not getting in the middle. You pick up the phone and call her."

"I feel weird calling her. She broke up with me."

"Just give her some time."

Then Stefan and Elena stepped inside the grill. Matt looked heartbroken. I feel bad for him, he seems like a real nice guy.

"More time, huh?."

He got up and headed near them. Oh no, he better not do something stupid.

"Hey, I'm Matt. Nice to meet you."

"Hi. Stefan."

Caroline, just like every other girl, was oggling over my brother.

"Wow he is hot."

"Woah, Caroline. That my brother you're talking about." I said.

She looked at me wide eyes and with her mouth wide open.

"He's your brother! Wow, I thought you guys were dating when I saw you both at school."

"Eww, that is really gross. And if you haven't heard already his name is Stefan."

"Stefan...I like."

She looked back over to them. She had that look on her face like when a predator's about to stalk its prey. Elena and Stefan came over to the table. Then Caroline began to ask us questions.

"So, you were both born in Mystic Falls?"

Stefan answered, "Mm-hmm. And we moved when we were young."

Bonnie asked, "Parents?"

I answered this time, "They both passed away."

Elena looked at me and Stefan sympathetically while saying, "Oh, I'm so sorry. Any siblings?"

"Besides Bela, none that we really talk to. We live with our uncle."

Caroline looked at us, mostly Stefan, and said, "So, Stefan, Bela, if you're both new you don't even know about the party tomorrow."

"It's a back to school thing at the falls." Bonnie said.

An idea came my head and it was hard to bite back a smile when I said, "Ya, I'll go. Elena are you going?"

Bonnie seems to know what I was doing and said "Of course, she's going."

"Great, I'll make sure this one comes too." I said pointing to Stefan.

Stefan gave me a look, which I returned with the famous Salvatore smirk at the end.

As soon as Stefan and I stepped inside the house, Zach came over looking furious.

"You both promised."

He showed us the news article.

"It's an animal attack." Stefan said.

"Don't give me that, I know the game. You tear them up enough, and they always suspect an animal attack. You both said you have it under control."

I looked at him saying, "We do."

"Please, Uncle Stefan, Aunt Bela. Mysic Falls is a different place. It's been quiet for years, but there are people who still remember. And with you both being here, it's going to stir things up."

Stefan said," It's not our intention."

Zach began to ask more questions. "Then what is? Why come back? After all this time, why now?"

"We don't have to explain ourselves."

"I know that you can't change what you are. But, you both don't belong here anymore."

I was starting to get real angry. I glared at Zach and asked, "Then where do we belong?"

He puts his hands up in surrender and said, "I can't tell you what to do, but coming back here was a mistake."

He opened the door and gave Stefan a journal with a picture of Katherine from 1864.

The next day in Tanners class we began to talk about The Battle of Willow Creek. He already embarrassed Bonnie and Matt when he asked about the casualties. He then asked Elena, but she didn't know.

"I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with summer break."

That bitch. I opened my mouth to tell him off, but Stefan beat me to it.

"There were 346 casualties. Unless you're counting local civilians."

Tanner looked at him.

"That's correct. Mister...?"

"Salvatore."

"Salvatore. Any relation to the original settlers here at Mystic Falls."

"Distant."

"Well, very good. Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle."

This time I interrupted them.

"Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The founder's archives are, uh, stored in civil hall if you like to brush up on your facts, Mr. Tanner." I finished with a smirk.

Mr. Tanner turned around and went back to the lesson with a hmm. I looked at Stefan and we were both giving each other a smile.
