Damon hasn't even been here for five minutes and I already thought about who would be much better company: Freddy Krueger, Jason, Chucky, Leather Face. Yep almost anyone would be a better guest than Damon.

So here we are in the living room. Caroline was going on and on about how she couldn't believe Tanner would let Stefan on the team.

"That's what I always tell him. You have to engage. You can't just sit there and wait for life to come to you. You have to go get it." Damon said.

"Yeah, Elena wasn't so lucky today. It's only because you missed summer camp. God, I don't know how you're ever going to learn the routines." Wow Care that was a bit rude.

"I'll work with her. She'll get it." Thank you, Bonnie.

"I guess we can put her in the back."

"You know, you don't seem like the cheerleader type, Elena." Damon said to her.

"Oh, it's just cause her parents died. Yeah, I mean, she's just totally going through a blah phase. She use to be way more fun. And I say that with complete sensitivity."

"Caroline!" I scolded her. That was really rude. How is that sensitive? It's like me saying 'Caroline, I going to say this in the nicest way possible. You're a bitch.'

Damon looked amused by this for a second before looking over to Elena again, "I'm sorry, Elena. I know what it's like to lose both your parents. In fact, Stefan, Bela and I have watched almost every single person we've cared about die."

Stefan looked at Damon pointedly, "We don't need to get into that right now, Damon."

"Oh, you know what, you're right, Stefan. I'm sorry. The last thing I wanted to do was bring her up. Mmm."

Yep, anyone would make a better guest than Damon.

While Damon and Bonnie were in the kitchen with Elena, Stefan was looking at the scarf around Caroline's neck.

"Matt tried, but he's just having a really hard time. You have to understand that they were each others first. You know, like, from the sandbox." She said.

Stefan complimented on her scarf. She told him that it was new. He asked if she could take the scarf off so he can see it. He finally got it, what Damon was using her for. When Caroline refuse to take off the scarf he asked if she was ok.

"Um...All I know is that I can't take it off." She tells us. Damon comes into the room, "What are you kids talking about?"

"Stefan here was complementing Caroline's new scarf." I gave a him look, the we need to talk look. He went behind Caroline and said, "Hmm. Hey, you know, um, Elena and Bonnie are finishing up the dishes. Why don't you go see if you can help?"

"Does it look like I do dishes?"

"For me?"

"Hmm...I don't think so."

Caroline is getting on my nerves now. I just rolled my eyes and went over to her. This is family business and the more she stays here, the more I want to drain her.

"Get your ass up and see if Elena needs some help in the damn kitchen." I compelled her.

"You know what? I'm gonna go see if Elena needs some help in the kitchen."

"Great." Damon and I said in unsion.

When she leaves Stefan gave me a look. "That was a bit harsh, Bela."

"Sorry, but she was getting on my nerves all night with her comments."

"They weren't even towards you."
