How do I know when a Virgo likes someone?

At least for me, you're more likely to see it in my actions.

I'll let you into my life and my space and my head. I'll want to know about you, and I'll want you to know about me. I'll express ideas and dreams to you. I'll help you with anything possible. A big one is I'll give things to you, even without being asked: playlists of MP3s, advice, book recommendations, small gifts.

I will be inserting myself into your life from a distance, if we aren't already close friends. Look around at a party or hanging out with our mutual friends. Do I seem to be close by no matter where you go? Am I swooping in to laugh at your jokes or agree with you in conversations or give you drinks/bring you your coat/help you out? Those are really good signs.

In all honesty, I might be especially shy around you – which is curious, because I'm actually not an incredibly inhibited person with anyone else. You'll notice the difference: I love talking with people, but I'll be very nervous to talk to you and might seem a little brusque/uninterested because my mind works 100mph and I want to impress you. I'm definitely going to be stumbling over my words or rambling. I might seem to make up excuses to be where you are or make contact with you. If you feel brave & really want to know where you stand with me, try making physical or eye contact. If I like you, chances are very good I'll let you put a hand on my leg or stand close to me. If I don't, I won't. If I like you, chances are very good that I'm already watching you a lot, and if you steal a look at me I'm probably already looking back, or I'll be aware of it pretty clearly. Ummm um. Honestly, I think I'm pretty obvious in a nervous way.

If I don't feel the same, I don't want to dwell on it and might try to create distance from the topic to avoid awkwardness. I won't want to touch you or be physically near you, and if you make an attempt I'll shrink away pretty visibly. I'll care a hell of a lot less about impressing you from the get-go.

How do I flirt with a Virgo?

I think I really appreciate feeling ... safe? In control? Approach me when I have space to think about my responses to you, especially if you're approaching me with words. I like straightforward compliments and sentiments. I don't want to be confused or have a lot of questions when it comes to the way you feel about me, because I will turn our encounter over and over in my head for days or even weeks after it happens no matter what.

I love when people compliment my mind or take an interest in things I create, whether that is art, something academic, cooking, etc. It also makes me very happy when people seem to remember small details about me or my opinions or ideas.

I also like people I can feel free with. If you drag me out on the dance floor or make me laugh or want to run off into some crazy adventure and bring me along, I'm instantly intrigued by you.
