About five months had passed with a load of seven more boys that had come into the Maze. Most of them had slowly adjusted and only a few had seem to adjust quicker than others. Alby, Newt, Gally, and I had a meeting at the Gathering, voting on who would be assigned their the correct jobs. Each job that had been assigned worked out almost too perfectly. We now have places for gardening, building, bathrooms, dining, and an outside kitchen for Winston's food from the Bloodhouse.
Alby and I had then decided Gally would be a builder; in which Gally had agreed. Gally upgrades older things, plans out more ideas for more building inquiries, and coaches the rest of his Bricknicks. The Bricknicks were under Gally, but they accomplished the same source of work Gally instructed. Although, we only had two people in that job named Mason and John so far.
We had a new member named Frypan who now worked as the Cook in the Glade. Frypan stores the food we get in from the Box, he prepares certain meals for different day, and he cooks meals for all us Gladers once the time comes. We had another member named Zart who was a Track-Hoe. He helped with the gardening, the fruits and vegetables, and of course Zart had two other guys named Mark and Carson who helped out on the job.
Alby and I made a place for the Sloppers who worked with the klunck stuff in other words. It's pretty much the lowest rank for people who aren't the greatest at the other jobs here, but no one was there to fill out the job. We finally had someone to help at the Bloodhouse covering up my old duty. His name was Winston which slaughtered all the animals for Frypan to cook. Now for the last thing we had, was the Runners. Newt and I had no one else who even wanted to go into the Maze. No one else was qualified to be one. We needed more. We still needed lots more.

Today was the day the new Greenie would come up from the box. We asked the creators to send up some more supplies like: weapons, clothes, water bottles, backpacks, and much more. We definitely needed more and more supplies and they would offer us up our aid when we asked. The alarm had then went off almost instantly as I stood to my feet, gripping my quarterstaff, and running towards the Box with Newt. The red lights were flashing around the opening of the Box. It was maybe about five minutes till it would come to a stop.
"Help!" I heard a young scratchy and bourse voice call out from below. "Help! Somebody!" He yelled again once again, agony and fear screaming from his chest as the box got closed and closer to the top of the Glade.
"Sounds like klunck!" I heard one of the boys yell that was surrounded by the pit from the entrance of the box.
"Probably an old shank!" Another jokingly remarked, laughter filling the air as I shook my head in disbelief; gripping my quarterstaff. I knew I wasn't going to go down to the ground this time. If whoever is down there tries to lay a finger on me, I'm smacking the guts right out of them.
"Or a scared Greenie who klunked himself good!" Laughter erupted around us all as a small snicker had left my chest. The Box finally came to a stop as Newt and I yanked it open revealing a teen boy glancing between all of us. Before any of us could help him out, he immediately jumped out as fast as he could, pushing past the boy's that surrounded the box. We tried our best to stop the lad, only to be pushed to the ground rather harshly.
I let out a grunt of annoyance, almost immediately standing to my feet and bolting after the Newbie who seemed faster than most I've seen. The Newbie was then headed for the Maze, causing me to groan in frustration, running even faster with Newt directly behind my tail. The boy had then entered into the Maze, taking a sharp turn towards section six as I followed his tracks.
But before I could turn the corner, someones full force of their entire body hit me drastically; sending me to the ground with the worst pain in my gut I had ever experienced. I let out a loud grunt of pain, squinting my eyes from the horrible pain. My chest throbbed from the force of the concrete ground knocking the air out of my chest before he gripped the collar of my shirt, pulling my face closer to his.
"What's going on!?" He yelled directly in my face as I groaned in annoyance. I just barely grazed my quarterstaff with the tips of my fingers without the Newbie noticing. "Why can't I remember anything!?" He yelled even louder as I flinched from the tone of his voice.
"J-just hold on," I tried breathing out as he just stared me down with a death glare. I took in a deep breath before continuing. "It's happened to all of us, we came in here and didn't remember anything. We don't know who put us here," I breathed out, wincing from the painful throb. "They wipe our memory and only allow us to remember our names," I stated truthfully in all honesty.
"Who's they?" He questioned with more anger distilled within his gaze as I coughed from the pain that lingered within my chest.
"I-I don't know. We don't-"
"Tell me the truth!" He shouted one last time before I gripped my quarterstaff with full force, knocking him directly against the head as he flew to the left of me unconscious. I exhaled a deep sigh of reassurance, trying my best to lift myself up from the surface, gripping my gut with the continuous pain.
"Man," I breathed out shaking my head as Newt and Gally came running towards me and the Greenie that laid unconscious on the ground. "Talk about a shank," I breathed out, shaking my head, wincing from the pain as Gally gripped the Newbie off the ground.
"You alright?" Newt questioned with a slight grin that was planted upon his lips. "You look pretty beat up," he chuckled as I looked to him, surprised with his laughter. I instantly shoved his shoulder with slight frustration, turning my body from his as he chuckled once again. "What!?" He questioned in innocence as I shook my head with a grin.
"You're laughing and you're dead meat," I breathed out jokingly as he rose his hands in defense with a serious facial expression.
"Who said anything about laughing?" He questioned jokingly as I continued to walk towards the exit of the Maze, trying my best to ignore the pain.
"Help me, will yah?" Gally stated towards Newt before the two of them started to carry the Newbie back to the Glade. Luckily, he didn't run that far at all.
