Chapter 5

I woke up to an extremely annoying noise. There was nothing more that I wanted to do then blast whatever it was that was making that noise into a thousand pieces. I rolled over in my bed and picked up my phone that was on the night stand between mine and Alex’s bed and shut off my alarm. Grunting I rolled back over and tried to go back to sleep. It was 6 am. Why did I set my alarm for 6 in the morning? I had just fallen asleep for goodness sakes! As I remembered what I wake up at 6 every day for, I slowly removed my covers and slipped out of bed. I grabbed my Zumba shorts and shirt, and went to the bathroom to get changed. As I got dressed I thought about how stupid I was for getting up early every morning to work out. Especially since I didn’t fall asleep till almost 4 this morning. But I was so accustomed to waking up that it just came naturally to me now. So if I didn’t get up and work out I would regret it later and I would just sit in bed bored.

I grabbed my shoes, slipped them on, left our hotel room, and went down stairs to the gym. I was hoping no one was down there so that I could work on my Zumba dances. I did my class every day so that it was etched into my brain and I could do it in my sleep. Plus it’s the best work out. When the elevator finally got to the main floor I headed for the gym. I didn’t see anyone in the lobby or in the halls so everyone in the hotel must still be sleeping. But I was still careful when I reached the gym. I peeked in to see if anyone might be there. As I scanned the big open room with mirrors that looked similar to where I teach but with equipment all along the walls. I walked in slowly still unsure if someone might be behind a corner or something. But it was safe to say that I had the room all to myself. And what made it better is that there was a stereo where I could plug in my iPod.

Right away I started my iPod and began dancing. Starting with the warm ups and working my way into the Latin section of the music. But I had a good mix of songs. It wasn’t all Salsa, Cumbia, and all the other stuff you would normally hear in a Zumba class. I threw in some songs you would hear on the radio, and of course One Direction. I had gotten about half way through the songs of my class, the last note from One Direction’s “C’mon C’mon” echoing the room as the door opened.

“Excuse me mam but your gonna have to leave.” a big brawny man ordered me as he stood there with his arms across his chest. I was in shock. I was here first.

“There’s tons of room here for you and me.” I came back at him. He wasn’t too happy about that as he started walking towards me. I stood my ground. I wasn’t going anywhere. Who is he too tell me that I can’t be here.

“Hey man. It’s ok.” I heard a different voice from behind the big oaf standing in front of me. “She was here first.” I heard again as the man stepped to the side to reveal the other voice. Liam Payne stood in the doorway with a smile on his face. That same smile that I saw last night. And all this time I thought it was a dream that I was in the same hotel as him. I thought that I dreamt that smile. Dreamt everything! It hit me like a ton of bricks. Everything I had seen last night was real! I wasn’t dreaming, nor hallucinating, nor was I in a coma. It was real! He’s real! I tried pinching myself to wake myself up thinking that it might still be a dream but I must have given myself a bruse with how many and how hard I was pinching myself and he was still standing in the doorway in front of my.

The (now that I know its Liam Payne) body guard walked back to the door. But glanced back giving me a nasty look. I kind of felt bad. But at the same time he had no right to kick me out. As he walked out into the hall he closed the door and stood guard.

“Sorry about that.” Liam said as he walked toward me. My heart was beating so fast. It might have been because of how high my heart rate was from working out. But Liam sure did add to that. With his smile and his accent. And those eyes. I just couldn’t stand my ground with those eyes looking at me.

“Oh uh… no its ok.” I smiled back trying to find my words.

‘I’m Liam!” he held out his hand for me to shake. I tried not to hesitate. So I took his hand.

“Paisley.” I said as I shook his hand. His smile seemed to get bigger. Was he laughing at me? What did I just say? Did I say my name or did I just say “derpy derp derp”

“Wow! Paisley! I’ve never hear that name before.” he said my name. “OH MY GOD LIAM PAYNE JUST SAID MY NAME!” I screamed in my head. My smile I could have sworn was eating my whole face. The way he said it just made my heart stop.

“Thanks” I replied subconsciously. “I get that a lot.”

“So what brings you here?” he asked as he walked over to the mirrors along the wall and put his water bottle and phone down.

‘Oh I’m uh…” I can’t tell him that I’m here to see him and the others in concert! He might think I’m some crazy fan! Think Paisley! Think! “I’m visiting family.” I said as I saved myself from embarrassment.

“Oh that’s nice.” he smiled “Do you visit them often?” he added.

“Oh no. not really.” I was being honest. And it’s not like I was lying. I really did have family in Columbus. And usually they come up to visit us.

“Gotcha.” he said walking back over to where I was standing awkwardly in the middle of the room. “So what were you doing in here before I rudely interrupted?” this time that smile was more of a “I know what you where doing and I’m not going to tell you that I saw it.”
“Just some Zumba.” he looked a little confused. “it’s a type of work out. It’s made to be fun. So you’re working out but having fun at the same time and not caring that you’re breaking a sweat.” I explained. But he still looked confused. “How about you follow along.” I smirked knowing that this will be a sight to see. Liam Payne dancing.

I turned my iPod back on and the music started up. I just let it go to the next song from where it had left off. With every movement I made he would follow. I watched him in the mirror as he watched me from behind. Liam was pretty good. But with some moves he would get messed up. It was cute cause he would make this “opps” face and try and fix it. This went of for the rest of the songs. He was having a blast! Some moves he would laugh at and others he was better at than me. It wasn’t really considered Zumba anymore cause we ended up messing around and just dancing. We were doing the salsa together, shaking our butts, and just laughing having a good time.

Pretty soon I forgot what I was suppose to be doing and what was even happening to realize what was about to happen. As the last song came on Liam stopped and looked toward the stereo. His smile soon came to a smirk and he turned and looked at me. “Kiss You” came on and I immediately stopped in my tracks and looked at him blushing.

“I KNEW IT!” Liam shouted pointing his finger at me. “I knew I heard our music when I was in the hall before I came in here!” I didn’t move. I couldn’t move. I didn’t know if I should run or just die right there. But he wasn’t mad like I thought he would be. He just stood there and smiled that same smile that I had seen last night. The one that I have never seen him do before. He walked over to me slowly. I don’t know why I didn’t move. It’s like I was glued to the floor. He was inches away from me. His eyes just about the same level as mine. He was a little taller than me. But he brought his face down close to mine. His eyes just looking into mine. Not a stare. Or a glare. Just looking. Like they were searching. A sparkle appeared just before a smirk came across his face. My heart fluttered and skipped. Like it was in a field of flowers. “Why didn’t you tell me?” his soft voice gave me chills. The goose bumps were growing and growing. Soon to be bigger than Mount Everest.

“Because you didn’t ask.” I tried to say with out shaking. He smiled and laughed.

“I didn’t think I would have to ask.” he chuckled.

“Well… with me you have to me more specific.” I replied squinting my eyes and sticking my tongue out at him. Liam grabbed at my side but I was too fast and got away. I ran to the other side of the room and he chased after me. “SLOW POKE!“ I shouted at him and kept running from him, dodging him. At one point he almost dove for me but I avoided it and as I jumped over him as he leaned forward. Almost like I was diving into water. But before I hit the ground I tucked my head in to my chest and let my body roll onto the floor. First the back of my head, then my shoulders, leading to my spine. Every vertebrae hitting the cold wooden floor. Ending at my feet as I firmly planted them and stood up, sticking the landing and quickly pushing back off the floor into a run back to the other side of the room. Liam stood there shocked. He was even more determined this time to get me so he booked it across the room. I took off only to trip and he caught me. Tickling me viciously.

“Is this specific enough for you?” he asked. He didn’t stop.

“YEESSS!!!” I screamed and laughed. My back was against him and I bent over trying to get away but he just picked me right up.

“Liam!” we both heard and we stopped moving to see that his body guard was standing in the doorway. He just gave this stern look and Liam put me down. “Breakfast meeting.” is all he said as he closed the door and waited. Liam let go of my waist, picked up his things and headed for the door.

“It was very nice to meet you Paisley.” he smiled. “Hopefully I’ll see you around… Like at the concert.” he smirked and my mouth dropped. He laughed and left the gym. That little turd!

I stood there in the gym for a few minutes before I collected my things and ran out the door and to the elevator. I had to tell Alex what happened! She’s gonna flip! I frantically pushed the button to go up almost jumping to the ceiling with all the excitement when the door opened and I ran in and headed up to my room.
