Gia was in the middle of my sentence when out of the blue, the lights turned off. "Sorry, I think the light bulb just burned out. Let me go get a new one so we don't have sit in the dark." Gia said while wiping her tears from her perfect olive colored skin. She was internally glad the lights had turned off so Mystra wouldn't see how ridiculous she looked. Gia screwed the light bulb really quick and finally they could see, but then a creaking sound came from upstairs. Gia and Mystra exchanged questioning looks.

"It's expected from such an old house," exclaimed Gia trying to brighten up the mood.

"That's what I was thinking," replied Mystra shivering.

"Is it just me or did it get cold all of a sudden?" asked Mystra.

Gia grabbed two beautifully hemmed throws and put one over her broadly structured shoulders while Mystra did the same. They sat in silence until a figure dressed in black running ever so swiftly toward Mystra puts his palm forcefully over her mouth. Gia lets out a piercing scream. She grabs a sharp knife that she hides in her black leather boots and strikes at him, but he grabs her wrist firmly. She couldn't help but wince from the pain.
