I love Disney, I'll admit it. It tells so many lessons like Cinderella. It doesn't matter where you came from or how poor you are... as long as you're incredibly hot... Snow White tells people to give midgets nicknames. And of course the Lion King, where a king is killed by the uncle and the child is felt running away, thinking it's his fault while the queen is left with the abusive uncle. Beautiful story, but does it sound familiar? It's Shakespeare's Hamlet. Disney, you have to come up with your own storylines. Sleeping Beauty encourages date rape.
Disney has many flaws that people overlook. For example: Micky and Minnie mouse, they're mice, and can talk. Donald is a ducking can talk, Goofy is a dog and can talk... and then they're is Pluto. He's a dog and can't talk. Were the writers to lazy to give Pluto a personality, or worse, is Micky keeping a mentally handicapped person as a pet?
They're is also Finding Nemo. It's about a mans wife who is brutally murdered by a serial killer and his son is left physically disabled. In a twisted turn of events, the son is kidnapped and the dad has to track the killer thousands of miles with the help of a mentally disabled woman. That story must have come from a dark place.
The only good movie that Disney has done is Star Wars, and they didn't even write them! They bought the rights to it! (the Star Wars rides at Disney land are pretty sweet though). I love Star Wars and I only hope that they won't ruin the sequel like they did with Lion King 2. (if you haven't seen The Lion King 2, don't watch it.)
