"Now for entertainment news. Just 1 day after a successful concert Beyonce has been seen having the time of her life on our island. New photos are now circulating of her enjoying "doubles" a popluar local cuisine, just moments ago she was seen entering 'Jenny's Restaurant' with her entourage. We'd advise the curried crab and dumplings B."

I turned the radio off suddenly disinterested with the programme. Jenny's Restaurant was where my mother worked. It wasn't a coincedence that Beyonce showed up to that particular restaurant, there were many others throughout the island. How on earth did she even know where my mother work was an entire different matter by itself.

Thank God I had finished my exams and school. This was consuming my thoughts all the time, and I had no doubt that if I'd have had to study for exams, I would have surely failed.

This was getting a bit weird for me, and despite the many many positives I saw with this offer, I had to wonder about these little weird details that kept popping up. My nerves were frayed as I wonder what the scene was like in the restaurant now.

There was no doubt that the restaurant's popularity would sky rocket now, I wondered if that was a good or bad thing for my mother, on one hand she might get more tips, etc. but the work might be too much for her aging body, but the immediate problem was what Beyonce was saying to my mother.

"As much as I would hate to see my daughter leave, you are about to become a woman. I only want what's best for my angel."

I sat in the living room across from my mother as she spoke. Kevin sat in a corner looking like he could  murder somebody in cold blood. It was pretty appaling. One: That my brother looked like that and 2. That my mother was giving in so easily.

"Oh nothing. Mostly legalities and the why's and how's" She replied. I noticed immediately how she was trying to give me as little information as possible.

Maybe this was all in my head, maybe I was overreacting and should be as happy as any normal 17 year old would be at the concept of moving in with a celebrity of Beyonce's calibre.

"If this is what you want I will not stop you Nina, even Kevin agrees that this would be a great opprtunity to showcase your talent. Right Kevin?"

I looked over to my brother as he offered a grim nod that looked like he totally disagreed. I knew my brother like the back of my hand.

"Okay, if it's altight with you guys I guess I can give it a try."
