Wasn't anticipation a bitch?
It hadn't been that long and I thought it had been months waiting for the results.
The post came a couple hours later and as expected it read:

Congratulations again on your win! @Number1Hiver
I should have expected this outcome but it was still disappointing none the less. I felt like crawling into a snake pit and just giving the snakes the okay to wrap around my neck while I smiled like a maniac and welcomed them with open arms.
Maya called approximately one minute later. I didn't answer, and she called 3 seconds after that, then 4 seconds after that.
She then gave up and deice to send a text;"I know you're hurting babe but it's going to be fine."
Truthfully, I was probably overeacting, seeing that a win wasn't guranteed, but I was a stubborn wrench so I didn't care. I felt like bawling my eyes out.
"Hey Stink, What's popping?" My brother yelled coming into the house, but he took one look at my red eyes and decided otherwise.
"Oh no sis, who's boy child I gotta kill, who I gotta sic my dogs on? Lemme know Lemme know." He siad plopping himself on the couch.
"Let me know how you gonna kill Beyonce, they gon' kill your ass first boy. Besides, I would never want anything to happen to the Queen, no matter how disappointed I am."
A look of recognition quickly flashed across his face as he realized what I meant.
"Oh, the tickets. Damn! You didn't win? And I already spent the money on some new kicks an I didn't even buy myself a ticket, cause you know I would give you mine in a heartbeat."
"It's okay, stinky, thanks alot. I know you gotta a big 'ole heart in there, somewhere by your left ankle. Just gotta dig deep." I replied. God, I loved my brother.
"Good, now call up Maya's ugly ass, we going out to eat."
***********
We sat in a boot eating cheese fries, chicken fingers and drinking oj. The way we were laughing and smiling you would think I didn't just suffer a blow to my heart. But as soon as the thought came, the sour feelings returned and ironically, the 12:00 noon news came on.
It's the competition that took Trinidad by storm. Thousands of teens locally alone participated and many more internationally even though it was a local competition.
The winner of the competition, Tia Marie Lewis, a 17 year old wheel-chair bound young lady from South Trinidad, was ecstatic to learn that she had won, but the means by which her winning came are less than desireable.
The video we are about to show you has been taking social media by storm, you can clearly see a wheel-chair bound Tia, freely dancing and singing in what appears to be a mall bathroom as she applies makeup to her face. The wheelchair is no where to be seen in the video.
It looks like Tia is any other normal, happy go lucky teen in this video, which is a stark contrast to the one she posted that made her win the competition in the first place, where she can be seen shedding tears.
Social Media expert Mischa Thorn is in studio. What do you think about this latest development Mischa?
A young ,dark-haired, strickinly pretty woman comes into view. I'm semi-aware of my nrother's "Hubba Hubba" comments in the background but I'm too shocked to laugh.
MThorn: This is exactly the kind of treachery that gives our island a bad name. To think that one young lady was devious enough to concoct this entire plan to play the disabled victim is beyond me. The video has been shared thousands of times on Facebook so we know Beyonce is bound to see it sooner or later. This might leave a lasting impression, in a sense that she might not ever want to come to Trinidad again, or have any conpetitions. I'm very disappointed in this young lady's actions, and I imagine so is the entire country. She should get an Osacar for that bit of acting, though.
It is alleged that Tia even said ''It does not matter what anybody thinks, I already have the tickets, and the concert is tomorrow.''

Treachery at it's finest. :)
