Kayla's P.O.V
After Kevin dropped me off, I headed straight for the courtyard to inform my friends of yesterday's events. I found them in our usual spot and was instantly ambushed by Cassie and Bridget.
Cassie -- "Kayla! Bridget told us there was drama at your house last night! What happened? Are you okay?"
I opened my mouth to explain, but Bridget cut across me.
Bridget -- "Kay, if you got into an argument with your brothers about coming to my house, I'm so sorry! I never wanted it to cause tension between you."
Dylan -- "If you two would shut up for five seconds, maybe she could actually answer you."
B & C -- "Sorry."
I sat down next to Cassie and told them everything that happened. When I got to the part about Jordon, Cassie and Bridget were squealing.
Cassie -- "Oh my gosh that is so romantic!"
Bridget -- "What a gentleman."
Dylan rolled his eyes and I smiled apologetically, he and Jordon didn't exactly see eye to eye. Actually, that was an understatement. He disliked Jordon as much as I disliked Alyssa. Anyway back to reality.
Kayla -- "Girls, in the middle of a story here."
They apologised and let me continue. When I told them about the argument, Cassie wrapped a comforting arm around me. My friends knew how much it broke my heart to argue with my brothers.
Bridget -- "That bites Kay. No wonder you were upset."
Kayla -- "I was a mess Bridget. That's why I'm so thankful I had Vanessa to talk to."
Cassie -- "Yeah Ness always knows what to say. You're lucky to have girls like her and Dani in your life." [a/n: Kev and Dani aren't married yet, but they will be later on.]
Kayla -- " I know I am and everyday I'm grateful to have them in my life."
We were silent for a bit until Dylan spoke up.
Dylan -- "So does this story have a happy ending, cause it's kinda putting me down. I hate seeing you sad."
I smiled at him and he blushed slightly and turned his head away. It was kinda cute.
Kayla -- "Thankfully yes!"
I then launched into to Nick's apology and how he helped me finished my song. When I mentioned the photos of Kevin and Joe, all of us were doubled over in laughter.
Bridget -- "Your brothers are so hilarious!"
Cassie -- "Totally hilarious! Do you still have the photos Kayla?"
I nodded at got out my phone. I opened up the photos and handed the phone to Dylan.
He burst into fits of hysterical laughter and passed it to Cassie. She and Bridget checked them out and copied Dylan's reaction. I chuckled at my friends and took my phone back from Cass.
Dylan -- "I feel so sorry for Kev, having Joe on top of him."
Kayla -- "I do to, but you can't deny that it's funny."
Bridget -- "I have to agree with my bestie. That was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time."
Cassie -- "Even funnier than Alyssa's face?"
Kayla -- "OH NICE!"
I reached up and high fived her and fell to the ground laughing. Then I remembered something and sat back up again.
