Alan's POV:
Sam, Michael, Star and I entered the cave later that night. We were armed with stakes, garlic and holy water. Sam wanted his friend back, Star wanted revenge and Michael wanted to hurt anyone who had hurt Star. Most of all, I just wanted my brother back. That was all I asked for.
"You two go underneath and search for Edgar, we'll stay here and wait for Delilah." Sam ordered Michael and Star. They both ran off and disappeared down a hole.
"You two little prunes think you can defeat me?" I heard someone laugh from behind us. There she was, standing on a ledge. She looked as fierce as ever, like she was ready to make a kill.
She disappeared and then reappeared directly in front of us, too close for my liking.
"Alan, when will you give up? You know you don't stand a chance!" She giggled.
I was furious. I had the urge to charge right at her and stab her in the heart. But I restrained myself, this time only.
"Even if you did kill me, you wouldn't be able to get Edgar back. My heart stops, so does his. They're in sync."
"So basically, this will be all over, only if you agree to love me, Alan. Why do you choose to make things so hard for yourself?" She asked. I stood there, taking in what she just said. I was so mad, and this time I was about to run straight into her, Sam had to hold me back.
"You'll never have me." I cried.
"I guess you've made your choice then, Frog." She countered. Her eyes turned a furious shade of red, she licked her lips and her fangs began to lengthen. She growled and then leapt at me, grabbing me by the throat and holding me up. Her sharp nails were digging into my skin, making it even harder for me to breathe. I couldn't yell, I couldn't scream, I couldn't do anything beside struggling to escape her grip.
I saw Michael and Star emerge from the hole they went down earlier, holding Edgar's lifeless body. I looked down at Sam, who was white with shock. He was just standing there, pale and frozen. I knew that if Delilah held me up any longer, I would pass out. I needed to escape her grasp and fast. I kicked her in the stomach, hard. She yelped and dropped me. I fell and landed in my back. As I was still gaining my breath back, I couldn't breath. I tried to get up but I couldn't.
"Sam!" I called out. It had hurt to even talk, my back was in so much pain. Michael put Edgar down and he cam rushing over to me, along with Star and Sam.
"Can you move anything?" Star asked. All three of them had a look of worry on their face.
"Nothing below my neck." I coughed.
I heard a deafening scream from above. We all looked up to see Marko holding Delilah against a wall.
"Someone, help! I can't hold her like his for long!" Marko yelled. He looked just as scared as the rest of us. I guess we all had our reasons to be scared of her.Marko dragged her down, holding her firmly against the wall still. She tried piercing his skin with her nails, it didn't work. She was agitated.
"You forgot Delilah, that I am a ghost. I am already dead, you cannot kill me." He mocked.Delilah looked furious. I thought she was going to explode.
She broke free of Marko's hold. She was headed straight for me.
"Out of my way!" She hissed. Sam, Michael, Star and Marko backed away, not wanting to become her next victim. I couldn't move, I felt paralysed and no matter how hard I tried, my body refused to move.
"I've got you now, Alan." She smirked.
