"Close your eyes,
forget everything.
go insane."
The 14th rolled around pretty quickly and before we knew it, we were at the airport, waiting for the flight. Teddy had promptly fallen asleep. On the floor. Of all places. I was sitting across from him with my headphones on and my copy of Let It Snow opened but I wasn't quite focusing on the words on the pages. My mind was drifting off to lalaland so much that I didn't realise Nick was talking to me till he nudged my shoulder.
"Huh?" I muttered incoherently, taking off my headphones and blinking at him.
"I asked if you wanted anything, Jesse's getting coffee." He said.
"Americano," I said, realising my spacing out was probably due to my lack of sleep. "No sugar."
Nick raised an eyebrow wig a smirk and relayed the order to the manager.
"Someone likes strong coffee." Wes commented, startling me causing me to almost jump onto Nick.
"Jesus Wes, I thought you were sleeping." I exclaimed and he laughed, as did Nick, making me feel utterly embarrassed. Bastards. I huffed and went back to my book, which I failed to make any progress on for the next fifteen minutes and promptly shoved the dead tree into my bag before taking off my jackets and pulling my knees up onto the chair. I draped my jacket around my form and buried my head into my knees with a groan.
"Didn't get much sleep?" Wes asked.
"Mhm." I let out, wrapping my arms around my knees.
"Might want to wait till the flight then, it'll be a lot more comfortable." He replied and I lifted my head to look at him.
"I can never sleep on flights." I said, blinking blearily. Wes raised an eyebrow.
"Well in that case try to get some sleep, I'll wake you up when we're leaving." He replied and I smiled gratefully before burying my face back into my knees and falling asleep faster than you could as -
"Passengers, we are experiencing some turbulence so please remain seated, keep your seat-belts on and refrain from moving around at this time."
I blinked and noticed that I was reclined with my feet stretched out on what appeared to be a really large seat. I'd never sat up as quickly as I did then, promptly smacking my head into a movable lamp.
"The bloody hell?" I cursed and looked around only to realise that I was on a plane and thankfully the boys were still with me.
Nick was at the other end of the row by the window, knocked out from exhaustion and I couldn't see Teddy's head over the divider down the middle so I assumed he was asleep. The only person awake was Wes who had his laptop on the pullout table and his headphones on, not quite noticing that I'd woken up. I must have slept through boarding, but that would've meant that someone had carried me on board.
Oh shit.
An air stewardess walked by with the trolley and I finally realised that I'd never gotten to drink the coffee that Jesse had bought so I quickly asked for one along with a sandwich seeing that I had supposedly slept through dinner. Wes finally took off his headphones to ask for water.
"Wes!" I whispered and he turned his head to look at me before smiling.
"Look who's finally awake." He chuckled and I frowned at him.
