Connor set his phone down on his bedside table after he typed out that last reply. He didn't know why he agreed to letting Jude tell him all about his encounter with Jack, I mean it wasn't like it made him uncomfortable or anything, it just didn't make him feel good.

The internal struggle of wanting to talk to Jude and not wanting to talk to Jude, especially since he was just talking about Jack, was what filled Connor's brain. For some reason the mention of Jack made Connor feel all riled up and a knot would appear in the pit of his stomach.

He finally decided to ignore the feelings as he turned to his geometry homework, the sound of his phone vibrating from Jude's messages in the background.
