Arthur's POV
I woke up in the warmth of bed cover and smell of dinner. At first, I panicked since I don't know where am I and what am I doing here. So I tried to rack my brain and realized that I can't remember much. Asides from my name, the only thing that I could remember was my encounter with strangers earlier.
I pushed myself against the bed and looked around the dark room. Nothing much was inside aside from a chest, desk, and closets.
I looked at myself and saw that I was covered with bandages and the smell of medical herbs was everywhere. I swing my legs on the side of the bed and slipped outside the room, greeted with more warmth and jolly chattering as I enter the living room of the house.
There's the man earlier, sitting at the end side of the table. On his right is Ivan, beside him was a lass that resembles him, probably older. Across Ivan, a younger girl was sitting and eating quietly, but she seems to be listening as the older lass tell how the merchants gave her the hair adornment in her hair.
Ivan noticed me staring at them and gave me a smile. At his actions, all the other members turned their heads towards me, and asked me to sit with them. I reluctantly did, sitting at the empty chair beside their youngest who's staring at me with a blank face.
"How are you feeling...? Sorry, but what's your name, child?"
"......Ignatius" I surprised myself when I was able to answer the man's question. He didn't noticed my shock as he gave me a smile. "And I'm feeling fine, thanks to you lot."
"Great to hear that you're feeling fine. I'm William and they are my children." He gestured to the three kids with us.
"Across you is my eldest, Katerina," she gave me a warm smile which I reciprocated with a nod. "She's the one who took care of your wounds."
"Then you met Ivan earlier, he's the second eldest." Ivan's smile seems to get wider, and like what I did earlier, I just nodded.
"And beside you is my youngest, Natalia." She just raised an eyebrow at me making Katerina giggle at the gesture.
"...Nice meeting you all." I replied.
I saw William made a gesture towards Katerina, where she stood up and disappeared inside the another room.
"We don't have much but we have soup with rabbit's meat and vegetables from our garden." Katerina came back with a bowl, spoon, and cup, setting it at the table in front me. She filled the bowl with soup and the cup with water. I mumble a small thank you as she went back to her seat.
"This is too much than I could ever ask, thank you very much." I think he was satisfied with my answer, as he smiled softly and started eating again.
I was slightly reluctant to eat what they serve, not because I think its bad. It actually smells great, it'll be rude not to though so I ate the soup slowly. I'm not sure when will I be able to eat again, and I sure do not want to impose to them. I already have made my decision to leave tomorrow morning.
"So Ignatius, where do you live? Are you lost somehow? Base from your accent, you must live not so far from here." William inquired, and I noticed that his kids were waiting for me to answer his question.
But, how?
He noticed my distress and immediately apologized.
"I didn't mean to impose-"
"No, it's alright." I cut him off. "I would like to tell you but I can't remember anything other than my own name."
"I'm sorry." He muttered an apology, making the air in the room tense and awkward.
