I realized, while Shawn and I were fighting for Topanga, no one asked her how she felt about us.
Oh well, too late now.
I'm pretty sure Topanga loves me.
"Cory?" I immediately snapped back to reality. "You haven't said anything for an hour. Are you ok?" I looked at her and gave her a big goofy smile. "Are you here?" She looked at me then at her arms and legs then back at me, "I think so." I put my arm around her and kissed her forehead. "Then yes, I'm ok."
She smiled and looked down. I could tell she was blushing. She looked up and me and leaned against my shoulder. "Wanna stay over at my place tonight?"
I froze. Is she crazy? Am I dating a psychopath? Her dad will kill me!
"What about your dad?" She sat up on the red leather booth and put her fingers in my hair. She ran them through my curls and I shivered. "Don't you think I thought about that? He's out of town for the week and I have the whole place to myself. Or to ourselves."
What do you mean "psychopath"? I never called her that, no. No. I said genius. What do you mean she purrs when we make out? Never mind, I've said too much.
"I guess I could come over for a little bit." I said with a slight grin as I looked at her cheeks that were pink from blushing.
I could be having the worst day ever but then I look at her face and it becomes the best.
"But first, how 'bout a nice date? I'll take you out to a nice restaurant and then we can head to your place. So go get dressed up-" she cocked an eyebrow and pursed her lips. "Not that you don't look pretty already." She rolled her eyes and nodded her head, "Nice save." I looked down and smiled.
--
I went to Topanga's place to pick her up to take her out on our date. She came out wearing a knee length, red dress with black heels and a red clutch. Her hair was down and wavy. My jaw dropped as she opened the door. "Wow... you look wow." She smiled and hugged me.
I was kinda hoping for a kiss but a hugs good too. I'll get my kisses later, if you know what I mean.
She pulled away from the hug and I stuck my hands in my pockets, extending an elbow for Topanga to hold. I grabbed her coat and flung it over my shoulder on the side she wasn't on. I walked her to my car and opened the door for her.
"You're in a good mood." She said half-happy half-confused. I started up the car and smiled at her. I leaned over and kissed her cheek.
--
We arrived at the restaurant and we got seated right away. "I think I'll have the steak and lobster combo." Topanga said while putting her menu down on the table. "You pick that menu back up and pick something for under a million dollars. I'm not rich ya know."
Her eyes grew wide. "You aren't rich? Bye." I grabbed her wrist. "Sit down."
--
We finished our very expensive dinner and went back to Topanga's place.
Time for the fun.
We opened the door and there stood Jed.
Well this is just GREAT.
