In Love With You

I walked out of the classroom with Feeny, leaving Brian and Topanga alone to talk. What if something happened between them? Did she cheat on me? Was she seeing us both?

With all of these questions floating around in my head, I didn't hear Mr. Feeny talking to me. "What did you say?"

He rolled his eyes, "Although it's against my better judgement, if you listen closely, you can hear what they're saying."

I placed my ear on the wooden door and tried to hear what they were saying. I could just barely make out what they were saying:

"Brian, I told you, it didn't mean anything."

"But you kissed back!"

"Listen, I love Cory. He's always been there and be always will be. I don't want that to change. We were just studying and we got carried away. I didn't enjoy it. I'm sorry."

I saw her head towards the door and I scrambled towards my locker. I watched as she walked out and towards me. She slammed the metal door shut, "And I know you were listening! Cory, can't I have a god damn conversation with someone other than you?!"

I stared at her, not knowing what to say. I found some ranger bottled up inside of me and I let it out on her, "Well, when the person you've loved for the past four years you've known each other starts acting weird around you, you start to wonder if she's alright. I care about you, Topanga! And I care about our relationship! You're a gorgeous looking girl and I'm just me. When you're dating someone who looks like you, you get worried if they've found someone else. I love you! Is that a god damn problem?!"

She looked at me shocked, "You've loved me since we've met?" I had just exposed the fact that I've been in love with her for the past few years and didn't have the balls to ask her out until earlier this year.

"How could I not?" I began, "You're hot, you're incredibly funny, you look at everything in a positive way. Sure, you don't have the best family, but you make the best of it. You've been one of my best friends since we've met. And I haven't just loved you, I've been in love with you."

Topanga slowly moved closer to me and lightly grabbed my face. "I'm in love with you, too. Brian means nothing to me."

She pulled me into a kiss and I grabbed her waist. She giggled as I smiled against her plump lips. "That's the best sound I've ever heard."

After dating around for years, I finally, scored love.
