Chapter 17: Returning

...!!! Zoryna POV !!!...

"Zoryna honey it's time to wake up". I stirred up at hearing that voice I wasn't used to. I opened my eyes and it was so bright. I had to close it back for a minute. I reopened them. I looked around the room. At first, I didn't see it but then I saw my parents. They were both standing in front of the door. I got up slowly thinking I was in a dream.

"Please don't tell me you guys are demons". They started to laugh. My dad came near me and I backed away a little bit.

"Z no we aren't demons. We are actually you're parents". He sat next to me and pulled me near him. I hugged him and started to cry a little bit.

"Aww it's k Z we are here for you. I know you missed us and we missed you too". I felt my mom sitting in the other side of me and she touched my shoulder. I turned and hugged her as well.

"Aww honey I missed you so much". I looked up at my dad.

"Dad where are we?". My mom and dad looked at each other before looking back at me.

"Well Z we are in heaven". I left my mom sides and stood up from the bed. I took a good look in the room and everything was so white. The white just had this glow aura around it kind of like Kia. I started pacing back and forth.

"So I really died then". My mom got up and took my hand.

"Come on honey, let's go to the dining room. You must pretty hungry". She started leading me out the room with my dad following. We down some stairs and walk down a hallway to another door. She opened the door. There was a dining table with food already on it. I noticed everything was white with that same type of glow.

We entered and I saw Kia sitting at the head of the table. I ran to him and hugged him. He chuckled.

"Hi Z. how are you?". I sat down on the right of him, while my parents sat on his left.

"I'm fine Kia. I missed you so much. How long have I been out?".

"Not that long just a day". We started eating the food in a comfortable silence. After dinner, all four of us went into the living room. I sat in the middle between my parents while Kia sat across from us.

We talked for a while catching up on a couple of things. While Kia and my parents were talking, I kept thinking about Angelo and everyone at the pack house.

"Uhm Kia how did the battle go? I know I defeated Shexmar but are Angelo and everyone else okay?"

"Yeah everyone's fine. A couple of the pack members died. Angelo and his family are fine". Phew that made me feel so much but I wish I was down there. I mean I love my parents and all. I just miss Angelo. I heard someone sigh.

"Zoryna come with me". I stood up and followed him. We started walking down a hallway, and stopped in front of a door at the end of the hallway. There was a white door with a golden door knob. I was confused.

"You see your parents and I know how much you want to be with Angelo. This door here once you open it you will be able to go back". I gave him a shocked look.

'Wh-what do you mean? That I will able to go back and see Angelo again".

"Yeah but there's a catch. You won't have your wings and powers". I was sad at that part. "You will be a regular human being but once you mate with Angelo again, you'll become a wolf like them. They will tell you everything about the transformation process".

"Do you want to go back or stay here with your parents?". I turned around to my parents. It was a hard decision. I wanted to stay but I also wanted to see Angelo. My mom walked up to me and lifted my chin with her finger.

"Honey I know you want to stay here but do what your heart tells you". At that moment, I knew I had to go back. My dad came next to us and we hugged each other.

"We will always love you Z. We will always watch you from up here. So go be happy with your mate, you deserve it".

"I love you guys too. Thanks for being the best parents ever". I gave them each a hug one more time. I walked and stopped in front of the door. I put my hand on the knob and opened the door. All you can see is a white fog. I turned my head to look at Kia and my parents for the last time. I stepped through the door and once again I was free falling.
