Chapter 14: Preparing for the Worse

Today was the day I was really fretting about because it was the day before the lunar eclipse. I woke up in Angelo's arms all snuggly and cuddly.

"Good morning babe". I gave him a kiss on the cheeks. I hurried and got up to change into my clothes.

"Good Morning Love, what are you in a rush for?". He got up to the bathroom as I walked in. We both started brushing our teeth.

"Because I need to go back to the cabin and get some things for the last training today". He gave me a questionable look.

"What do you mean by last training?". I walked out his room going downstairs with him following behind me.

"Well tomorrow is the lunar eclipse which means it's going to be the battle. I have to get to the cabin to grab a few things".

"Wow I can't believe it. It didn't even cross my mind that it was going to be tomorrow". As I got to the door, I turned around to give him a kiss and hug.

"Yeah that's why we need to get everyone prepared. I need you to round everyone okay. Bye". I left out the door and flew to the cabin. I entered and saw Kia at the table drinking coffee.

I went and sat next to him.

"Hey Kia are you ready for tomorrow?". He sighed.

"Not really. I've been preparing for this battle for thousands of years so yeah I'm supposed to be". I gave him that look like he was crazy.

"What do you mean a thousand years?"

"Well as you know the prophecy about you is true. In heaven, we've been preparing for the day to come. I knew all about you way before you were born. I was the angel that was chosen to be your guardian angel".

"These demon's been planning for thousands of years to get Shexmar out of The Lifeless Vale. All I have to say I was glad to watch over you over the years and to be contributing on this battle".

"Aww okay well I'm very glad that you've been helping me through this whole thing". I went upstair to get in the shower and get ready to go back to the pack house. I went downstairs and saw Kia with a bag and two buckets near him.

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah let me just get my bag and the sword". I went to the living room to retrieve my things. We left and flew back to the pack house. We both landed in the backyard. I saw everyone there gathered around. Kia and I placed the things down and walked towards Angelo.

"Hey Kia. how you been?"

"I've been good Angelo. You?, and we're to talk to everyone as well".

"I've been good to and alright, let me get everyone attention". He turned around to look towards everyone.

"Hey everyone Kia and Zoryna have something to tell you guys so listen up". Kia and I stood on the patio. We got the buckets and things we brang up front. Kia started to talk.

"Well as you all know today is the last day of training. Importantly, the lunar eclipse is happening tomorrow as well. We need you to know that this very battle is happening near this territory in that open land a couple miles away from the woods. We bring some things to be very much prepared". He looked at me to talk.

"Well as you know the battle is tomorrow that is why there are few things we brang to prepare for it". I took the bucket and took two brushes and gave one to Kia. I took out a couple of mini sacks, couple of daggers, and I took out a couple of bottles with holy water in it.

"In these mini sacks, I have a plant call sage. Demons hate the smell of it and would never go near it. Once you go home, burn it in some pot, and let the smell or essence of it surround you. The odor will surround you and it will sort of protect you from the demons. We will also burn it during the battle but it's going to be at the safe house with the women and kids".

I picked up the daggers. "These daggers are demon killing daggers. I will give some of the people who need it for the battle".

I picked up one of the holy water bottle. "In this bottle is holy water, you will use it as well during the battle. All you have to do is throw the small bottle at them. It won't kill them but it will slow them down". I bend down and opened two of the buckets.

"In these buckets are ancient paint that will protect you from the demons. Kia and I will write symbols on everyone. Don't worry about the paint being messy because it will just disappear into your skin. I need everyone to line up. Oh and also another thing is if you run out of holy water, salt is another alternative, so bring salt to the battle. We will also circle the salt around the safe house as well". After I finished talking, this one teenage boy spoke up.

"Uhm I wanted to ask you about the families in the safe house will they have this things as well and the paint on their bodies?".

"Yeah the things are already there and stocked. All of the women have instruction on what to do. The rest of the pack will be coming after the training to get the painting done". Everyone got in line. Kia and I started painting the symbols on everyone. We would put one on the forehead, each arm, each leg, and each foot as well.

After we we're done with the painting, we started the heavy training and made sure everyone was good with the skills on killing of a demon. We practice for hours and the other pack members started trickling in. Kia and I left the training to paint the symbols on the rest of the pack.

After training and the painting, I made sure everyone was set about the plan and the instruction they needed to do for tomorrow. Everyone left back home to prepare for tomorrow. I went inside the living room to sit down. Izzy and her friends had came in from the back to sit with me. Izzy sat next to me. Aria and Conner sat on the right side of me.

"You guys I'm so scared. I mean the lunar eclipse is going to be hear tomorrow. I just don't know if I'm going to be handling fighting a whole bunch of demons". Aria said.

"It's not like we're going to be in the battlefield. We're going to be in the safe house with the others protecting them". Conner said.

"It really doesn't matter Conner. They are still going to come and try to attack the safe house as it goes". Izzy said.

"Look you guys. If you show the demons your fear, they will become more stronger because that's what they feed off. All you need to do is be brave, use the skills you learned in the traing and also the weapons of sorts at the pack house. You will have to brave for the kids and women at the pack house". I said.

We kept talking until the three went to Izzy's room to get some much needed sleep for tomorrow. I laid back on the couch and dozed off.

I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw Angelo above me.

"Hey are you sleeping over tonight? Kia already went to sleep in the guest room". I nodded my head and raised my arms up.

"Can you please pick me up? I'm to tired to walk up the stairs". He started to laugh.

"Anything for you my love". He picked me up bridal style and walked up to his room. He laid on the bed, and helped me change into comfortable clothes. He got into the bed and under the covers. I laid on his chest.

I went to sleep thinking about tomorrow and praying to god that everything turns out right tomorrow and I end up defeating Shexmar once and for all.
