Chapter 8: The Four Letter Word

...!!! Zoryna POV !!!...

Right now Kia and I are eating breakfast before we leave to go to Angelo's house.

"So what happened yesterday to get you that gash and almost dying?"

"Well I was fighting this upper level demon and she cut me with the sword. You know she told me that she killed my parents as well. That gotten me real angry to kill her that much."

"Wow well next time be careful because I as much as everyone else don't want you dead before the battle has begun"

"Yeah I know. Let's go". We both flew to the pack house and entered through the front door. Izzy and her friends were in the living room watching tv.

"Why aren't you guys at school?"

"Oh hey Zoryna, we decided to take a break from school especially from what happened yesterday", Izzy said.

"Well if that's the case you guys need to come to the back and practice with us. So you guys can know how to the deal with the demons as well.

"But why I thought only the men and boys were fighting?", Aria asked.

"No there are also other women and girls who were willing to fight plus you guys will also need protection when the women and children are going to be put into the safe house because they will come after everyone". They started groaning, but eventually they got up.

We all headed outside. I saw both men and women and boys and girls training as well. I see Raphie, Luc, and Angelo teaching a couple of groups. Kia and I decided to teach Izzy and her friends. I was in the middle of teaching Conner how to attack a demon the right way when Angelo came behind me and hugged me.

"Hey I missed you". I turned around and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey I missed you too. I need you to round up the group together in a circle." He looked at me confused but he did it anyway. The group started to make a big circle and I went inside the middle of the circle.

"Today I called everyone so we can have random fights between a couple of people so everyone can see all together what's right and wrong fighting the demons". Kia came and had pulled one warrior so he can demonstrate to everyone. They started doing there thing and was showing everyone their moves. While that was a happening, I notice a man who came in the backyard going next to Raphie and Luc. He was very tall and muscular, middle age man. After these two girl were fighting, Angelo and the guy had went in the middle and started to fight.

In the middle of the fight when they were separated, for some reason I decided to walk towards them. I had walked in front of the guy. Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy.

"Angelo can you tell me who this person is?"

"Well this is Giovanni but we call him Gio. He is the head warrior of the pack. You haven't seen him because he's been out of town on business. Gio this is my mate Zoryna. Why did you ask?". I ignored his question and kept staring at him, while he was looking at me too. He had a very cold stare and his looked haunting as well like he was figuring something mysterious.

"Gio can you raise your hand for me please?". He looked at me curiously but he did what I asked. I took my finger and just touched his hand lightly. My eyes saw his past and what he has been mysterious about him.
