"You didn't even tell me? What kind of friend are you?" Sam yelled at me, hands waving crazily in the air.. We were busy walking home and I just told her about the makeover I got for my room. She went on about how bad a friend I was for not telling her, but she wasn't mad at me. She meant it playfully.
"I want to see it." she said when we reached the gate in front of my house, pulling her brows to form a frown.
I nodded "Sure, come on." The gate opened and we walked in. Well, I walked, Sam skipped.
I opened the front door to our house, "Hey mom, hey dad!" I said walking past them to my room.
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Reed!" Sam said cheerfully, following me. They greeted us back and went on with their daily duties.
When Sam set foot in my room she let out a huge gasp. I thought her eyes were going to pop out of her head.
"This place looks amazing!" She yelled, waving her hands -again- in the air.
Two weeks ago on my birthday, my parents decided they'll give me a makeover for my room, since my room looked awful and dull before. Everything used to be mismatched and my bed sheets didn't even match my pillowcases. Also, my bed was so small, I could barely sleep in it.
Now I have a purple king sized bed. Loads of pillows on it (probably like 14). Black curtains with little glitters on it, a white rug and a big white wardrobe with rhinestones on the handles (my favorite). My walls were painted a silverish grey, so it made everything pop and the ceiling had a lot of little lights, so it'll look like stars when I turn them on at night.
"I love it! Wow, okay Zoey, you can move out now, this is my room!" Sam said falling down on my bed.
Huh, looks like she's already made herself at home.
I laughed, "You wish, but you could try it out. How about you sleep over tonight?"
She jumped up from my bed, clapping her hands, "That would be awesome! You should go ask your parents!"
"Please, watch this space" I said, opening the door, then shouted "Mom, dad! Sam's sleeping over tonight okay?" I looked back at Sam with a smirk on my face.
"Okay honey!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs.
I closed the door and turned to my wide-eyed friend, "See? I didn't even need to ask. They always say yes. Thought you'd know that by now you silly fountain pebble you."
Well that was a new one...
"Awesome, but we need to go to my house to fetch my stuff." she said grabbing her backpack. I nodded.
"Okay let's go." I opened the door again. We walked down the stairs before a I started yelling at my parents again. "We're just going to get her stuff."
Both of them was sitting in front of the TV. Watching some weird horror movie or something. Don't they know that horror movies are at their best at night? Psh, old people.
Anyway, they didn't even notice us, so we just walked out.
While walking outside, my stomach growled."Oh, wait!" I stopped, then quickly ran back inside. I ran to the kitchen and opened up the fridge. "Perfect!", I grabbed two pies laying on the top shelf and ran outside again to meet up with Sam. I threw her the one bag. "Here, It's cold but it'll do. I can't stand this hunger anymore."
She cought hers, "Thanks, what kind of pie is this?" She opened it up.
"Chicken, I think. But I'm so hungry I could eat anything." I opened mine too and immediately took a bite out of it. We walked on to her house and in less than 2 minutes we were there. Sam was already done with her pie.
