I always knew I was different, just never knew how different. My name is Damien Aeires, and I'm a cannibal. I know what you're thinking, "My god you're fucking gross. Are you even human?"  . The answer is I don't know. It wasn't a life I chose, it was a life I was brought up into. You see.. When I was young my parents were in a car accident which they died in instantly. I was the only one to survive. I was  only 5 years old at the time so I  don't really remember what happens after that. Just that my new family found me. Now these people were isolated off of  society because of the divisions between First Class Citizens, and The Outcasts. Back in the year 2013, where everything went to shit. The government took it upon themselves to fix every little thing. So they built a huge wall dividing the two. Where we live has decayed over the years, it gets harder and harder to find food while the First Class, gets everything handed down to them. While we fend for ourselves. It's all or nothing. And it's already been 18 years..

Today is December 1, 2031.

I started my rounds of savaging for food, not like there's much of it. When something came behind me

"DAMIEN!" A squeaky annoying voice that was far to familiar. I turned around and looked. "Oh Are you lost little girl?"  That would be my friend Grace. Grace was always small and hot-tempered, but she was a friend nonetheless. "Damien, you know it's past curfew right? You were supposed to meet me by the Barracks 2 hours ago!" She said with her arms folded over her chest. I looked at her for a second then turned away. "I was just looking for food..You know it's getting really hard to come by" I replied. She let out a sigh and gave me that same look that she always gives me when she's worried. "You were staring at the wall again weren't you? It's not good to be curious around here. You could get killed" She said smugly.  "It can't hurt, maybe I'll get out of this hell hole" I said while fiddling with my tools.Knowing she was getting impatient she punched in my arm "Damien, stop being such an asshole and listen to me for once?"  (Ahah she does have spunk for her age I give her that) I eased up and rubbed my arm calmly looking into her eyes, she looked serious. "Alright Grace, Sorry I'm such an asshole?" I said with a grin. She turned her back and started walking toward the town. "Yea yea, now hurry up" I began to follow her without saying a word, didn't want to argue when it comes to Grace.
