"Guys! Slow down. My legs hurt from walking!" Dem whined. I turned and gave him a cold look. He shut up and kept following behind us. We kept walking until we reached an old warehouse. I could hear Garrett's voice. I went inside and went closer to his voice. There he was with his back to me. "Hello..Damien" He turned to face me. His eyes blood shot. I had the gun aiming at his head. He just stood there as that same murderous smile with evil intent came across his face. I was getting really tired of seeing that smile. "Where is she,Garrett?" He just kept smiling. "Where is who?" I stepped forward holding the gun still aiming for his head. "Jessabell! Where is she!" He looked confused. But then he stepped to his side where Jessabell sat in a chair all tied up and bruised. "Jessabell! Can you hear me? It'll be okay. We came to save you" Garrett held a gun to my head. "Why did you come into a lion's den, Damien?" I just smiled at him. "Go ahead, pull the trigger. You don't intend to kill me. You need me" He raided his eyebrows. "Need you? Nee you or what?" My eyes went cold as I stared at him. "Why your plan of course. But sorry you won't be able to accomplish it" Dem hit him upside the head with a shovel. "Fuck! I thought he'd never go down" I just stood there. "It's not over. This was too easy of a win" Just as I had said that some of the corrupted broke out of the boxes. Screeching and screaming as they made their way to us. They weren't human anymore. Jessabell scream at me. "Damien, get out! You'll die if you don't leave now!" I didn't listen. I grabbed her. And had Dem and Kath carry Garrett. We managed to escape the corrupted. They stayed inside that warehouse. Still screeching and screaming.
We took them both to the house. I sat Garrett under a tree and watched him. What in this world could have possibly corrupted this man? There was something to him. He wasn't human.
I stayed there the rest of the night watching him. He didn't dare budge or move. He steadily opened his eyes and looked straight up at me. "So you caught me.." I stared down at him. "Why have you been doing this?" He stared at me, his face was expressionless. "I needed a cure.. A cure for you.."
"Damien.. It's not as as it seems. Nothing is as it seems" I leaned forward. "If you actually cared as a human being you wouldn't torture innocent people to save someone not worth saving" He just shook his head, this was the first time I saw him act normal. "Don't you see? It's always been about you. You're the cause of the corruption" I slapped him across the face. "You're lying! All this time you've been lying. And hurting people. And you killed Grace!" He walked up and put his hand on her grave.
"You need to wake up Damien. It's all in your head"
It's all in your head. Everything started to spin. Jessabell,Dem,Kath and Garrett all stood there repeating those words. As I fell to the ground. "You need to wake up,Damien"
Wake up Damien.
