I awoke.

Something seemed off today, I didn't know what. I looked around my cell it was still dark as usual. But what could it be? Then I saw her.. A girl. I haven't seen anyone except the doctors and that  horrid creature that always lurks in my mind. Her head was bowed down and her long brown hair covered what little I could see of her face. She was wearing the same thing I was wearing, scrubs. Hers looked filthy. She looks like she's been though a lot. I noticed that she was carrying a food tray. Sitting up I walked close to the wall and placed my hand on it as I stared at her. I tried to get to try and speak to her but before I could she spoke to me. "I brought you food.. The doctors said I shouldn't..But I brought you food.." She slowly looked at me, her hair still covering her face. I could make out her eyes and her lips..

The more I stared at her, the more nervous she got. But I couldn't speak. Her hands trembled as she set down the tray and moved the hair out of her face. She was beautiful. "Here. Take it" She said while opening a hidden compartment and handed me the tray. Trying to look friendly I smiled at her. It must've came to a shock to her because she jumped back and stared at me with a confused look. Finally I was able to speak. "I don't bite that much you know" I sat the tray down on the bed and studied her face. She looked very speechless. "B-but.. The doctors. They said you were incapable for human emotion.. That you were a monster" "Not everything they say is true. I'm as much of a human as you are" I said while turning my back to her. I started to eat the food she had brought. It had been so long since I had something to eat. "My name is Jessabell by the way. And you're Damien? The doctors talk a lot about you. On how you're special"  I turned back to look at her. "We're all special, Jessabell. What would the doctors want you here for anyways?"  She looked down at her feet. She wasn't wearing house shoes like I was, and her feet looked blistered and were covered in scratches . What were these damned doctors doing to her?  "They want me here ,because I'm not human.. I'm a hybrid you might say"  She looked back up and I could she her eyes were two different colors. "Hybrid? Hybrid of what? You look pretty human to me"  She just smiled and shook her head "I'm a hybrid of monsters. The corrupted.. That's why I'm here. So that they could watch me to see if I were to become like.. like them"  How could that happen?  I thought to myself. It didn't seem possible. But yet here she was a product of the impossible. "Jessabell. If you were a monster you would have been corrupted when you were born. You should be trying to get out of here..find a place better than here"  She put her hand over the glass and with a heavy sigh she replied. "That's what I've been trying to do for the last 13 years. They abuse  us here, Damien. They try and brainwash us for their own amusement"  I placed my hand over her's through the glass and stared in her eyes. "We could break out of here, you and I. You just need to break me and my friend's out of here,Jessabell"

Her lips started to quiver, "Friends? You have friends? Those corrupted people I saw.. Were your friends?"  I eyed her. "Corrupted? You saw them? They were corrupted?"  She turned her head trying to avoid my gaze "Yes.. The doctors torture people by starving them. Playing with their minds.. I'm surprised they haven't tried to eat each other. Just other doctors.." I sighed under my breathe. "Jessabell.. You have to get me out of here"  She shook her head, I could see the fear in her eyes. "I-I Can't Damien.. I can't.. I'm not allowed to break the rules"  I furrowed my brow and glared at her "By not breaking them you let them get the freedom of making yourself be their little doll. Do you want that? you have to help me, Jessa.." She stepped back shaking her head "No..I just can't.. "  She started backing away more and more. "JESSABELL! Don't go! Jessabell, believe in me. You can do what ever you set your mind to..You just have to break me out and we can save the others and  escape"  She stopped moving and replied "There is no hope for escape, Damien.  But I'll try"

And she left me there alone. Maybe, just maybe I would be able to escape.
