*above is Chloe Harrison a.k.a. me*
I finally pull up into my driveway in my black Mustang GT and walk in the door. I live on the edge of the city so I have a actual house not an apartment, but I'm still really close to all of the main buildings and the beautiful city. I am walking through the door. All is good so far, but just wait... Ah here it is. My mom found another thing to yell at me about. This happens everyday. I can't have one quiet night because she always finds SOMETHING to yell about. Last night was I didn't clean out the dishwasher before I left for school, but in my defense I was already late for waking up at 7:45 when school starts at 8:30 and I live 30 minutes away from the school. Tonight it is about how I'm "late" getting home from my work at DJ's Pizza which is also like 20 minutes away from my house.
I'm 17 and it's mid-March in the second semester of my junior year of high school. I have to say I make pretty good grades and I made a 29 on my ACT's, which is pretty good.
Anyway, I walked in the door and my mom proceeds to yell at me for being ten minutes later than normal getting home because we had a busy night.
I say, "yes ma'am," and walk to my room.
She yells, "You spend too much time in your room!!" I ignore her.
I don't really care how much time I spend in my room. My room is all the way up stairs and across the house from where my mom stays most of the time, so I enjoy it here; plus I have Netflix.
Today, though, I do not want to be stuck up in my room. I have friends too, ya know. I slowly lift up my bedroom window, hoping the squeaking isn't too loud, and remove my screen. I lay it down between my bed and the window so she can't see it. Before I go, I turn on my radio and blare some Panic! At The Disco not too loud, but loud enough for it to seem like I'm in here.
I climb out of my window and onto the roof above the drive way. I toss down my bag and jump, landing on my bag. Quickly, I get into my car and start it up and drive around my house to go out of my neighborhood the back way.
I dial up my best friend, Katie, and she picks up on the second ring.
"Hey babe," she answers. She often calls me that, though i'm not quite sure why. I guess we've just become that good of friends over the past five years.
"Wassup?" I answer.
"Nothing much. What about you?"
"I snuck out again."
"What?! Why? What happened this time?!" she over loads me with questions. She knows all about how my mom yells at me for no reason; she's even witnessed it a couple of times.
I tell her everything and I also tell her to meet me at the mall so we can hang out and chat a while. Meanwhile, a popular song comes on, Hello by Adele, and I randomly start singing and she laughs.
"HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIIIIIIIIDDDDEEE
I MUST'VE CALLED A THOUSAND TIIIIIIMMMMESS
TO TELL YOU I'M SORRY..."
She says I should try out for some singing show or something but I don't think I'm that great of a singer, but She's not too bad herself.
BTW
*I know i'm not a great writer but I mean this is my first book so yay*
