Chapter 2: The Exes

*Katie above*

I am waiting at the mall in my car it's been about 6 minutes, and I finally look over and I see a blue Charger, Katie, pull into the spot next to me. I get out of my car and she runs up and hugs me.

"Babe I'm so sorry you have to go home to that everyday!" She has that puppy dog eyes look on her face with her beautiful blue eyes, not the like begging puppy dog eyes, more like the pity puppy dog eyes.

"It's okay I've pretty much gotten used to it by now." I say, but she looks like she's about to cry. I know she hates that I have to live like this, I mean I do too, but there's nothing I can do until next year when I am 18 and can legally move out. My mom already says she's kicking me out when I am 18.

"It's not okay!" She basically yells at me. "You shouldn't be treated like that! Nobody should! It's verbal abuse!"

"Calm down. There's only one more year of it."

"Okay. Can we go get something to eat now?" She is always hungry. I, on the other hand, don't eat much and it kind of makes her mad.

"Okay...haha... but I'm not that hungry."

"Your eating. C'mon." as she basically drags me inside. She says that everytime. She's not kidding either. She will keep bugging me if I don't eat.

We walk into the food court and head straight for Chick-fil-a. I find us a seat while Katie stands in line to order. I finally found a seat in the packed food court as Katie is ordering at the register. I waved as she was looking around for me with our food in hand.

"Hey, you actually found a seat." She looked surprised.

"Yeah I didn't find it until like two seconds before you were done ordering."

"Wow"

"Yeah"

"OH my gOD!!!"

"WHat?"

"Look over there next to that Mexican lady!" She whisper screams to me.

I look over and I see our exes....together! I didn't even know they were friends! My ex, Brandon, was in line with Dylan, Katie's ex, to get Chinese food.

"What!!!!!" I whisper scream back." I didn't even know they were friends!!"

"Neither did I!"

As we are getting up to leave Brandon walks up and says," hey" but we pretend not to hear him and keep walking.

We quickly walk into the girls bathroom where he can't go and then wait until we think he is gone.

......10 minutes later......

We came out of the bathroom and we are walking around upstairs when we decide to go into Hot Topic. That is our favorite store. We are looking around when I look over and see....

"ANJELINAAAAA!!" Katie says before I can. We both run over and give her a hug.

We talked for a while even though we all saw each other at school like 4 hours ago. I guess we are weird like that. We talked about my parents and how I snuck out again and Anjelina looked shocked that my parents never realized I was gone. My dad doesn't really care if I am gone or not, but my mom.... OH shit. I lost track of time its been an hour and 30 minutes of walking around the mall and talking to Anjie my mom might go up to my room soon looking for me so I need to get back home quick and act like I am sleeping or something. shitshitshitshit. She will kill me if she finds out I snuck out again. Last time that happened she took my car keys and Katie or one of my other friends had to come pick me up. Without saying anything to Katie or Anjie, I dart off. I look back and they had exchanged glances of confusion and started running after me. I burst through the doors and.......
