Chapter 6: The Way

I had a plan. I'm going to type up a permission slip and put it over the write up and then when she signs the "permission slip" she will actually sign the write up. Genius right?

We walk back into the classroom and everyone is staring at us. Well duh, I mean, we did get called to the principles office sooooo...

Mrs. Smith looks at us and says, "Welcome back to class, is everything ok?"

Well duh nothing is ok, but we all say "yes" anyway. I started humming "Don't threaten me with a good time" by P!atd because it was stuck in my head. We all sit down in our seats and the teacher started rambling on teaching again. Obviously nobody pays attention and since I sit in the back of the class I can see everyone that has their phone out texting each other. It's pretty much everyone except Emma. She's the nerd and doesn't miss anything because she writes it all down. I don't even know if she has a phone.

I take out my text book to hide my phone behind. I plug in my headphones and the first song that comes up is the song I was humming. My long hair hides the earbuds so my teacher doesn't see plus I am in the one place she can't see which Is right behind where she sits. I also got a text from Bailey asking what I was actually gonna do about getting it signed. I simply texted her back and told her that I would tell her at lunch along with everyone else.

*lunch time*

I am the first one at our table and everyone else comes up in one group and Anjie is leading them so at least she's not gonna get in trouble today. I can see people in the lunch room looking over at us and then turning around and talking. I returned the look to one girl and she turned around at the speed of light. Damn I didn't know I was that scary. It was so tempting to stand up and go punch everyone who was talking about us in the face but no I couldn't do that. First because I was on the inside of the booth and second because one of my friends would grab me and hold me down and it would be that hard since most of them are taller that me and Katie is on the wrestling team.

I take out one earbud and everyone is already expecting me to tell them my plan, so I do.

"And you really expect that to work?" Katie asks.

"Well yeah it's not like she's gonna actually read it plus she is drunk all the time so."

"Okay true true."

Everyone was quiet after that so I put my earbud back in and start picking at my food. I wasn't really that hungry so I ate a pack of gummies and was about to get up and throw my plate away when Mackenzie grabs my arm making me wince because she grabbed my cuts.

"Sorry," She says. "But you are not going anywhere unless you eat at least two pieces of your chicken."

"I'm not hungry." I say.

"Too bad. I don't care. I want you to eat something. When's the last time you had a full meal?"

"Umm like yesterday when we went to eat after ditching school."

"Right so you should be hungry by now so eat."

"No." I say and get up and leave I dodge her hand before she can grab me. I am at the trash cans emptying my plate by the time she is there. "Whoops I guess your too late." I say sarcastically and shrug. She looked like she wanted to slap me so bad.

She dumps her plate and walks back to our table with me.

They all know I don't eat much so it's not much of a surprise I mean at least I do eat.

A few minutes later you would never guess who walked up to our table. Kayla, with all of her make up caked on she looks so fake.

"Well look who it is. It's ms. Whore and Ms. Savetheday with their little following friends. I heard you got sent down to Henry's office in homeroom today. Ha I only have two days of iss. Let me guess, you have to join the no bullying club? Aw are you gonna arrest me?" She says putting her hands out in front of her like we were gonna put hand cuffs on her and she had a pouty face.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? I bet Henry didn't even give you a choice. Oh yeah I forgot to mention he gave us a choice to stay in school or leave and guess what? We get next week off of school thank you very much, while you and all these other freaks have to stay in this hell hole." I say to her.

"Aw man. That means I don't get to have a whole week of make up work to do. Damn it." She giggles.

I stand up and am I about to swing when Bailey gets up and stands between us.

"That's enough Kayla. Go away before I go tell Henry what just happened. Don't forget he can go look on the cameras." She gestures to the camera above us.

"Whatever." She says and walks away.

"I'm leaving this place."I say.

"What how you can't just leave." Katie says.

I pull my moms phone out of my pocket." I'm gonna get checked out. For a doctors appointment." I say and walk to the bathroom.

I dial the schools number on my moms phone and they pick up. "Hello?"

"Um hi this is Chloe Harrison's mom. I would like you to let her leave to go to a doctors appointment. I forgot to write a note for her this morning and I can't come get her I am at work. " I say trying to mock my mothers voice.

"Um yes sure I will do that. Would you like me to call her down here to talk to you?"

"No. No that's fine I have to go now so thank you bye bye. " I say and hang up the phone. Not too long after there was an announcement that said "Chloe Harrison for check out."

My friends all looked at me like "wtf that actually worked?" I was like "yep" and I gestured for them to come over to me.

"You guys should do that too. Just don't use the doctors appointment idea or they will know something is up."

"Aight. " they say and go into the bathroom.

I walk to the front office with my stuff and the lady tells me my mom called and I need to leave to go to the doctors and I say "okay" and walk out the front doors.

I walked to my car and drove over to the car rider doors and went in. My friends were still in the bathroom calling the office one at a time. They told me to wait for them so I did. I told them I was going to wait in my car and drive it somewhere no one would see it. They said ok and then I went back out to my car. I drove it around to the drive way that leads to an empty field and parked it obviously nobody goes back here. My friends know this is where I hide whenever I want to even if it's the weekend so they will come back here when they get out. I hear something loud over my blaring of panic at the disco. I look up and I see a huge tractor. It's one of those that like harvests plants or whatever.

Im proud of myself this is a long chapter.
