Spencer finally found out where they were headed when she saw a sign that said "County Fair Ahead." Last time she had been here, her and Toby had only been together for a couple of weeks. She had gotten locked in a fun house, and Ian saved her.
The memory of Ian standing in front of her holding a crowbar would never leave her mind. But Ian was dead now. He couldn't hurt her now, and anyway, even if he was alive, Toby would protect her. Spencer looked over at Toby, and realized that he had been staring at her the whole time. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Spencer asked as he looked at her seductively.
"I am always going to look at you like this." Toby said smiling. He got out of the truck, and walked over to open the door for Spencer. He offered her his hand and helped her out of the car.
"Thank you, Mr. Cavanaugh." Spencer said laughing. Toby led her inside. He took her hand in his and walked to a certain spot. When they got there Spencer gasped. It was the spot where she had kissed him in front of her mother.
"Toby..." Spencer didn't know what to say. She looked around at her surroundings. When she looked back, he was down on one knee with a small velvet box in his hand. She brought her hand to her mouth trying to muffle the tears.
"Spencer Jill Hastings, will you marry me?" Spencer couldn't get the words out, so she just nodded her head. Toby stood up and slid the ring on her finger. She jumped up and threw her arms around his neck. 'This is perfect' Spencer thought to herself.
